Musings on the world of photography. Person money camera photographer. August 16, 2011. Taking pictures is easy. Most people can do it–and they do it quite well. They take pictures at a family reunion or of their newborn grandchild or of their hotrod car or whatever. This kind of photography is referred to as “document photography,” where the person with the camera is taking pictures for the sole purpose of documenting an event or circumstance. And since everyone can do it, then it must be easy, right?

Musings on the world of photography. August 11, 2011. I try to not let things get me down, but I feel it happening. It’s usually easy for me to pull myself back up, but right now I can’t see anything to grab onto. I just want to go to the dark spaces. And close my eyes. I see it as a photograph–all steel black with a hint of bright to lessen the pain. I’m going to frame it and stuff it in a drawer–bottom left with all the other things I enjoy but can’t use right this minute. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Musings on the world of photography. November 16, 2010. My friends have taken on the November oath of blogging about being thankful. So for this one blog post, I’ll join them. But I got a job, right? November 11, 2010. I stayed at school until 11:45 last night. Our first yearbook deadline is this Friday, and since I’m attending the national journalism convention in Kansas City the next four days, I needed to send the spreads before we left. And she is right. Heaven forbid we would hurt their self esteem.
