Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Macau - Non-Stop Eating Tour. The last country I visited on my tour was Macau, just an hour or so ferry ride from Hong Kong. I went there with my cousins, Elisa and Kenny just for a day trip, which was plenty of time to explore the area and eat a ton of good food. We basically spent the whole day on a mission to try Macanese food, starting with lunch. Ruins of the Church of St. Paul. Close Up of the Ruins of the Church of St. Paul. Alright, let's get to the food. On top of all th...

(keep feeling) fascination: January 2011
http://keepfeelingfascination.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 15, 2011. I actually set up my alarm today for the first time in a couple weeks, so we could get a start on seeing the 3 nearby cities of Mandalay: Sagaing, Inwa, and Amarapura. We met up with two other travelers, Jake from England, and Laurie, from America but living in England, to share a "blue" taxi for the day. The "blue" taxi is so cute! Little Blue and our driver. I didn't think it sounded like Andi or Laurie's voice, but it the girl spoke English, so Jake and I walked back down t...

Friday, March 11, 2011. Back in the States. SoI didn't do that great of a job of keeping up this blog during my SE Asia trip. I was just caught up being wherever I was. It is a lot to process and write about everything and anything, because you are just THAT excited about where you are, and you want to share it with everyone! To tell you the truth though, you just had to be there. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Macau - Non-Stop Eating Tour. Ku Ku in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Back in the States.

(keep feeling) fascination: February 2011
http://keepfeelingfascination.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 13, 2011. When I was in Myanmar, I compiled a list of things I am looking forward to when I get home. 1 Showering without flip-flops on all the time, and without the hot water cutting out (actually, a shower with hot water would be a bonus already! It's such a luxury here.). 2 Not having any attention: not getting stared at, asked "where are you from", "are you married".etc. 3 Wearing a nice dress and a pair of heels. Can't wait to feel like a lady! Food-wise, I can't wait to eat:. Satur...

10 Yards and Primordial Soup. Science, Comics, Heroes/Villains, Food, and Football. Come early, stay late, be loud! Friday, June 24, 2011. 1) I hate one particular biker. Fuck you, you tattooed moron, who would be as bold to break no less than 2 moving violations and then verbally harass my wife and me. Don't ever, ever yell at my wife or in her general direction. Argh Tupac Shakur said it best. Okay, I got that out of my system. With that being said, I like Airplanes and Written in the Stars. 4) I don't...

(keep feeling) fascination: Chiang Mai
http://keepfeelingfascination.blogspot.com/2011/03/chiang-mai.html
Monday, March 21, 2011. My last destination in SE Asia was Chiang Mai, in northern Thailand. I booked a ticket from Bangkok to Hong Kong way in advance, so rather then visiting Bangkok for the third time this trip, I decided to check out Chiang Mai since everyone was raving about it. I was pretty excited too, because I heard it was a great place to just relax. The longest I had stayed in one place, that's for sure. So what did I actually do there? Well, here's 10 things. 1 Got my teeth checked and cleaned.

(keep feeling) fascination: July 2008
http://keepfeelingfascination.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2008. Last year, I watched My Architect. A documentary on Louis Khan. It was a pretty compelling story about his path as an architect and his personal life between his 3 families. There were some amazing shots of his buildings. most memorable were the Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban in Bangladesh and the Salk Institute in La Jolla. I would definitely love to visit his buildings if I could.especially in India! If there is anything to see at all in La Jolla, it would be the Salk Institute.
