March 21, 2014. My Top Six Writing Tips. I love the down-to-earth way this was written! Great advice for a new writer. The only thing I’d add is that at some point you need at least one other person to edit also; if for no other reason than your mind will simply skip over typos after you’ve reread something so many times and not caught it yourself. Just remember, it’s ultimately YOUR book – you decide which edits you like or dislike. The material has become immaterial. Not even the experts are experts.
