Excursion out of Kampala 7 November 2010. 8212; mjcassidy @ 2:47 am. Uganda, East Africa. Last Saturday, I took a short excursion out of Kampala to where the equator crosses the road, which is not all that exciting actually but its nice to get out of the city … even if just for a few hours. Local stools for sale on the side of the road. Drums for sale (I actually bought a few). The sun can be brutal. Standing the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. African masks for sale. Headed back to Kampala.

A sea of red and black. Students with painted chests and red afro wigs. The red coat band spelling out G-E-O-R-G-I-A. Glory glory to old Georgia … I won’t wait so long to come back!
