The past two weeks are an absolute blur of planes, trains, buses, and long stretches of hiking in a European wonderland. I can't believe the trip is over and how well everything just came off. Here are the highlights of the trip. Who kindy not only grilled Ben and me a dinner, but put us up for the night, it was a wonderful start to a two week adventure! Pictures are here on Facebook.

And I stand here with my arms up. Aug 2nd, 2010. I was his favorite. I know there's a lot I don't know about my grandfather. Stories in which he was as much the villain as he was the hero. He was human, after all. But because he was my grandfather, I don't have to hear those stories. I only have to know that I loved him more than anything in the world, and that I was his favorite.
