Midwestern is the cultural template upon which my experiences have been formatted. I have a layer of 1970’s small-town, stoic Scandinavian wit and common sense. The 1980’s in Sunbelt Suburbia crowned my adolescent awkwardness with a mullet shaped perm. How lucky was I to spend the 90’s, my 20’s, in San Francisco (bald, mostly)?
