Kim's Finished Projects: March 2007

http://kimsfinishedprojects.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 06, 2007. This is the blanket I knit for Rachel's second-born. It's a basketweave pattern I found in the. 365 Knitting Stitches a Year Perpetual Calendar. It's on September 3, if you own a copy. I love the way the basketweave looks so three-dimensional. Rachel told me she wanted green or brown. I had just finished the Green Ribbed Raglan. And couldn't bear the thought of more green. So brown it was! Well, that's why I gave Rachel a sweater stone. For Hanukkah. :P. Finished: March 6, 2007.

Kim's Finished Projects: Fingerless Mitts

http://kimsfinishedprojects.blogspot.com/2007/02/fingerless-mitts.html

Friday, February 23, 2007. As an antedote to working on two baby blankets at once, I had to have a little change of pace and make these little wristwarmers from Weekend Knitting. I used leftover Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport. From my Ravenclaw scarf. I had a little less than one full ball of blue, and still had several yards left when the mitts were done. These are so toasty warm. They're just what my wrists wanted this cold, windy February. Now I. Started February 20, finished February 22, 2007.

Fiber Cafe: May 2010

http://fibercafe.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Coffee, yarn, books, cats, music, family. what more could a gal want? Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Works in progress, May 2010. So, okay. I've been working on this sock, which I am now thinking of as "the Spring Sock," now and again, mostly when I'm out of the house, because I keep it in my purse. I love it. I love the colors, I love how it feels (100% Merino from Cherry Tree Hill Yarns. Purrrrr), and I love working on a plain ol' plain ol' sock just to keep the fingers busy when the mind is elsewhere. I've nev...

Coffee, yarn, books, cats, music, family. what more could a gal want? Thursday, September 16, 2010. Look at those little blue elephant buttons! And a new sweater. The Jasper Diamond Hoodie. Size 6 -9 months, knit in Plymouth Jeannee DK. I love pretty much everything about this sweater, except that the largest size is too small for Jamie. I've resized patterns before, though, so I guess I could do it again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Guess what Im doing! Cast On Knitting Podcast.

Fiber Cafe: June 2010

http://fibercafe.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Coffee, yarn, books, cats, music, family. what more could a gal want? Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Ha ha, just kidding. Mostly. I've been sidetracked from the Hey Teach sweater. By these darling washcloths. Sorry about the lousy light, it was raining and gloomy but I couldn't wait to take the pic. Now, as I write, it's sunny and bright out (of course). The pattern is Reverse-Bloom flower washcloth. Look at all that dangling yarn! I figured out early on that I could work each cast-off end into the knitting by...

Coffee, yarn, books, cats, music, family. what more could a gal want? Monday, September 28, 2009. I just finished the "tangle" of the Tangled Yoke cardi! Sorry about the poor photos, it's been too rainy for good pics, but I just couldn't wait for sunshine.). The construction of this cable is amazing and it was just magical to see it emerge from the needles. I hope I can keep the momentum going as the yoke grows smaller. I'd love to wear this soon! I have to say, I really love this sweater. This cable is brilliant. Love. It. In other knitting news, I have a dilemma regarding my Tilted Duster. Click on that link to see what it's supposed to look like. Then see below. Or do I frog the entire thing and re-use the yarn? Then I've got a pile of projects to think...

Coffee, yarn, books, cats, music, family. what more could a gal want? Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Guess what I'm doing! http://fibercafe.blogspot.com/2007/07/green-gable.html

Coffee, yarn, books, cats, music, family. what more could a gal want? Sunday, July 1, 2007. Is finished. I could have made it a size smaller, but I really am happy with how it turned out. I think I may still modify the neckline a bit. We'll see. I used the recommended yarn, Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece. I love it. This has become one of my favorite yarns. This project was started on May 5, 2007, finished June 29, 2007. PS Happy Canada Day, Peg. Looks like you are having some summer! Feelin the Monkey love.

Coffee, yarn, books, cats, music, family. what more could a gal want? Monday, March 8, 2010. A Cardigan for Rose. I finished the knitting and grafted the hood and underarms and wove in all the ends on March 3. I had to go out and buy a single wooden toggle and knit an i-cord loop to fasten the cardigan at the neck and I finally did that on Saturday the 6th. Now I really can't wait to start one for myself! Swatching is good, Sunday I had my sweater on 3mm needles, I hadnt realised the Kauni I was swatchin...

Kims Fishy World

Saturday, 8 August 2015. It's been a looong time since I've made an update to the blog. Vacation, rebuilding the fishroom. Etc took all the available time. In april I put some Neocaridina davidi in some tubs in the garden. They survived a light frost and have been crawling around without much happening. It has been quite cold in Denmark and only recently have we experienced stable, warmer weather with most days around 20C or warmer. I decided to have a look in the tubs yesterday. In a container for photos.
