Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or custard. 2 x 200 g packets Ginger biscuits. 65 ml preserved ginger, finely chopped. 45 ml Demerara sugar. Break the Ginger biscuits into coarse pieces and place in a greased oven-safe pie dish. Sprinkle with the preserved ginger pieces and pour the cream over. Kim's Food and Health Blog. Just another WordPress.com site. 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda. 8 tbsp of Butter. 1 tsp Baking powder. Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in a cup of boiling water, set aside. Cream the butter and the sugar. Mash the bananas and mix into the creamed butter. Mix well. Add the eggs one at a time. Slowly add the flour. Add the dissolved bicarbonate of soda to the mixture.
