Kim's Taekwondo of Forest Grove. Monday, March 28, 2011. Martial artists are expected to be contributing members of society, caring for those who need help. We look for various ways to provide community service, and the MS Walk is one we have participated in for years. We have students, family, and friends who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis. Tournaments are an opportunity. For students to test their skills against others outside their own school. Students meet others of their rank and make friends, and they get to know black belts from other schools. Tournaments are an important aspect of the martial arts learning experience. Kim's Taekwondo of Forest Grove. Grandmaster Tesdal's test for fifth dan. Every few months, your instructor will evaluate your progress and recommend that you promote to the next level. Testing takes place once per month, Wednesdays at 6 pm at our location. All black belt tests take place in Portland before Grandmaster Kim. For more information on testing: cost, what to expect, why you should! Two students at their first test: yellow stripe. Promotion tests don't stop when you reach black belt!
