After a hectic few weeks, took a short weekend break out to to Kita Karuizawa, a few hours outside of Tokyo. unless it's a long weekend and then the traffic can double that time! Anyway managed to make it there and back in reasonable time on this occasion. Good rest in the mountains, lots of open space! 12-Jun to 30-Jun-05 Tokyo:. Tokyo - Finding Work.

Have really noticed (both in Bali and Java) that many households have chickens or pet animals, however, none seem to be locked up. Chickens and chicks freely walk the streets and mingle with neighbouring animals. Also have notice small fires on the sides of the street. I wonder what they're burning. Today met up with one of Eri's friends from highschool (in Japan), who just happened to be in Bangkok on a business trip. Did some sight seeing and had lunch together. Great catching up! This weekend we were able to attend the Tokyo International Group Training Course out in Izu, a couple of hours away by train. Quiet area, away from the city and a great environment to learn more about Buddhism and make new friends.
