Friday, January 25, 2013. I could give a thousand explanations about why I haven't blogged in so long. I could tell you how I had a busy summer with work, traveling, etc. But let's be honest- we all know how life can get busy and things just get put on the back burner. Thursday, September 22, 2011. I haven't done anything crafty since the dining room re-do. So I was getting a little antsy! On a weekend trip home, my grandmother insisted I come for a visit because she had something she wanted to give me. I wasn't sure what she was going to pull out for me, but boy was I surprised when she handed me this old box of giant plastic buttons! Not only were there about 100 buttons in the box, but they were such fun colors and so big that I knew I could do a lot with them!

Thursday, May 3, 2012. Breaking news, people… I BOUGHT A MACBOOK! Ok, so I actually bought it a few weeks ago, but so far I love it! I was in desperate need of a new laptop since my 5 year old Dell that I paid like $300 for had a battery that wouldn’t charge, a screen that was breaking off and I’m pretty sure every virus ever created! Tuesday, October 1, 2013. So, I got married! It would take forever for me to tell you every wonderful detail about this day, so I will just hit the highlights (you're welcome). Our wedding was in a favorite place of mine, Snowmass, Colorado. My super nice relatives let us use their gorgeous backyard for our reception and the ceremony was in the local chapel. It was everything we had hoped for and much more! She did such a wonderful job and we are so thankful for the memories she captured! So there you go!

Monday, October 10, 2011. This weekend I helped in putting together a fundraiser of sorts for a Baby orphanage I visited while in Kenya last summer. The lady who started the orphanage was actually a member of my church, but she moved to Kenya about 5 years ago. Not only does she run this orphanage, she also has a ministry to the local hospitals, and some single mothers. You can learn more about her ministry here. Kindall's in Spain
Life on the other side of the language barrier. I've been slacking a little bit on the updates, but again this can be attributed to the majority of my time being spent outside the house. The last few weeks can be summed up by saying I've spent a great deal of time in the park, gone to class as usual, and continued enjoying every second of being in Santiago. The end of this experience gets closer every day, so I will be out of the house soaking up Santiago as much as possible over the next few weeks.
