Tuesday, August 30, 2005. What's in a name? The story behind our daughter's name is fairly standard. She is named after my paternal grandmother (Kathryn) and Sarah's paternal grandmother (Rachel). A lot of other names we looked at were family names, too, such as Eleanor or Elizabeth. But she's definitely a Kate!
