Kingdom Come!: Simple Solid Faith
http://kingdomreflection.blogspot.com/2011/05/simple-solid-faith.html
Crying in the streets, crying in the marketplace, crying in the church. There’s a lot of chatter about Bible things. Comes out with a book that purportedly brings into question where there is a real hell. (Haven’t actually read the book, so I can’t say what he in fact said… but Bashir’s interview kinda nails it I think.). And then Stephen Hawking - who makes no claim to being a follower of Jesus - has said last week that there is no heaven. And now on Saturday May 21. The destruction of planet earth.

Crying in the streets, crying in the marketplace, crying in the church. Who’s the Boss? Sometimes it seems that everybody wants to be the boss. The Boss. The the person in charge. The visionary. The guy who calls the shots. The person who has the right to say,. 8220;My way or the Highway! So I came across this contrast of “bossiness” and “leadership.”. The boss drives people; the leader coaches them. The boss depends on authority; the leader on good will. The boss says 'I'; the leader says 'we.'. Ralph M...

They Never Told Me This: March 2009
http://theynevertoldmethis.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
They Never Told Me This. Saturday, March 28, 2009. They Never Told Me Just How Little Time. I would actually have for prayer, study, and personal devotion. Maybe they did tell me how difficult, yet important it would be to prioritize my day for personal preparation, but did I believe them? Keeping myself spiritually alive, basking in God's instruction to my spirit would be key. Wow, was I ever wrong about that! Now, I'm no Moses sitting in the gate or under the tree in the wilderness "judging" 3M people,...

Missions Heart Costa Rica: Do you know what your calling is?
http://missionsheartcostarica.blogspot.com/2014/02/do-you-know-what-your-calling-is.html
Sunday, February 23, 2014. Do you know what your calling is? Having a purpose and calling in God. Is what it is all about! That is what we are striving to live out. Having a purpose in God is one thing. Everyone has a purpose in God. And it often changes according to time and situations. But your calling does not change. Whatever your calling is is what you function in no matter what time or situation you are in. This I can do, no matter where I am or what situation I am in. Through the years the Robinso...

Missions Heart Costa Rica: The Robinson Family Heartbeat - June 2010
http://missionsheartcostarica.blogspot.com/2010/08/robinson-family-heartbeat-june-2010.html
Wednesday, August 11, 2010. The Robinson Family Heartbeat - June 2010. What we have been doing:. We have been remodeling our house in Florida to ready it for sale. We have refinished all of the floors with beautiful wood laminate and tile, as well as the kitchen counters. We are painting the inside and out and working on the finishing touches. This has been a lot of work, and has kept us very busy. Our goal is to sell our house to free us up from our responsibilities in the States so we can move permanen...

Missions Heart Costa Rica: 07/17/09
http://missionsheartcostarica.blogspot.com/2009_07_17_archive.html
Friday, July 17, 2009. The Robinson Family Summer in Costa Rica 2009. We actually moved to Costa Rica on May 25th. We had a time getting here as obstacles kept getting in our way, like cars breaking down, and being flagged for a random security check at the airport in Orlando. It was an adventure just getting to the country! But we made it here, safe and sound! Our first week here was about finding a house to rent, and then moving in and getting needed household supplies. The eighth week we received 96 p...

They Never Told Me This. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. They Never Told Me About Going To Jail. For whatever reasons the police had, none of us were released on that Sunday either and we all spent a second night in jail, a little less traumatic than the first. Finally, late Sunday we were bonded out upon agreeing we would not participate in Operation Rescue again for some determined period of time. Sunday, July 5, 2009. They Never Told Me About Unrighteous Indignation. I have experienced moments of righteousnes...

They Never Told Me This: I am Salty!
http://theynevertoldmethis.blogspot.com/2010/10/i-am-salty.html
They Never Told Me This. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Our family bought it's first TV when I was in the 1st grade. Incidentally, that is when I remember us first having an inside bathroom as well, but that is a story for another time. I will never forget one little 4-year-old boy. He would dress in suit and tie every Sunday. His hair was slicked back and he was the epitome of style. He was a well-behaved boy and loved to sing at the top of his lungs. Boy, could he belt it out. Have a great day! 2 rules, 15...

They Never Told Me This: January 2010
http://theynevertoldmethis.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
They Never Told Me This. Saturday, January 30, 2010. A Goodson Prayer Request. Dallise and I have been facing a new challenge in our lives since the end of 2009, and we finally know enough about it to be able to share with our friends so that you may pray for us. It sounds like really bad news at first, but then there is enough good news about the bad news that it is not quite so bad as it will seem at first. The short story is that Dallise was diagnosed December 31, 2009 with Chronic Myeloid. While it w...

http://theynevertoldmethis.blogspot.com/2009/12/they-never-told-me.html
They Never Told Me This. Tuesday, December 8, 2009. They Never Told Me. Many churches have a Prayer Team, an invaluable team, and I do not say that lightly, who intercedes for the Pastor and the service before and/or during the service. My Prayer Teams always felt it was important for me to join them in our Prayer Room just prior to the service. I tried to accommodate. Them as I knew it was important. I needed that; I just didn't need to be present always. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

They Never Told Me This: November 2008
http://theynevertoldmethis.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
They Never Told Me This. Sunday, November 16, 2008. Eating Peacock, Laying Tile and Getting Peed On. They never told me about all the odd jobs, both paid and volunteer, that ministry offers, or seems at times, demands. At various times in my 33 years, there have been seasons that necessitated my working a little part-time job to make ends meet. You guessed it. Chicken! Then there were all the odd things you just help people do out of the goodness of your heart, right? They never told me in Bible College ...

They Never Told Me This: September 2009
http://theynevertoldmethis.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
They Never Told Me This. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. They Never Told Me About Elder Fights. We studied Biblical Leadership. We went to Leadership Seminars and Workshops. We read books on Leadership. We watched as mentors dealt with their own church Elders and Deacons. But, still, no one can prepare you for the battles that spontaneously break out when passionate men and women feel strongly about church direction with opposing opinions. There are more stories about Ronnie, but to relate them now means th...

King Jesus | Creating a Kingdom Refuge of Worship & Presence
Creating a Kingdom Refuge of Worship and Presence. The King’s Army. It is not visible to the outside world; nor is it reported on any media outlets. All looks dark, declining and doomed to the world’s eyes. “The demise of our beloved U.S.” is cited daily. Corruption is growing. Relative truth and tolerance reigns. War resounds. Hope is being lost. The Church is under siege. I will die to myself so that King Jesus may live and breathe in and through me. The King is calling- Aslan is asking you, “Com...
