Kirill Talanine Studio 1

Kirill Talanine Studio 1. Thursday, 6 June 2013. Lighting Setup: Editorial Portrait. His top button is deliberately undone and tie loose, loosened further by Bek. Bek is just off camera right, and I had her raise her hand into frame, pulling Jonty's tie. I made sure her hand was showing its side to camera (more flattering and feminine). Her nails are also red, to match Jonty's tie. 105mm 400 f5.0 ISO800. Here's the mock brief I originally wrote for this editorial shoot, quoted from an earlier blog post:.

Kirill Talanine Studio 1: March 2013

http://kirilltalaninestudio1.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Kirill Talanine Studio 1. Thursday, 28 March 2013. This is really fantastic! I love the captivating arrangement in this low-key portrait. The fill light seems to be from a snooted rim light just feathering his face from the right - how effective! A few portraits I liked. To celebrate getting the blogger app on my phone, I'm posting a few portraits I liked from a book I'm reading. Tuesday, 26 March 2013. Was that drop really good enough to die for, and if so where can I get some? Stay tuned to find out!

Kirill Talanine Studio 1: April 2013

http://kirilltalaninestudio1.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Kirill Talanine Studio 1. Tuesday, 9 April 2013. Shots from Studio: Corporate Portrait Day. Monday, 1 April 2013. Studio Major Assignment Proposal. A classmate, probably Greg), wearing a suit - I'll try the shot with and without a tie. Torso 45 degrees from camera, away from light. Head and eyes straight to camera (1-2-2 posing). Head tilt: will try 1) no head tilt and 2) slight masculine head tilt (towards lower shoulder). Will shoot both pure white and "grey" with background light. Ie no crossed arms.

Kirill Talanine Studio 1: Lighting setup: Corporate Full Length

http://kirilltalaninestudio1.blogspot.com/2013/06/lighting-setup-corporate-full-length.html

Kirill Talanine Studio 1. Wednesday, 5 June 2013. Lighting setup: Corporate Full Length. I had Greg stand at 30 degrees to the camera and look, head and eyes directly at the lens. He has a serious look but clasps his hands peacefully in front of him. His feet are angled open and he stands up without slouching to project pride. I shot from just below head level for even perspective and to demonstrate Greg's stature. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lighting Setup: Editorial Portrait.

Kirill Talanine Studio 1: Lighting Setup: Corporate Headshot

Kirill Talanine Studio 1. Wednesday, 5 June 2013. Lighting Setup: Corporate Headshot. I thought I'd put up all my final studio shots along with details of how the shots were taken. Corporate Head and Shoulders. I had Greg stand at 45 degrees to the camera and look, head and eyes directly at the lens. He has a friendly smile, level chin so he doesn't apear to be looking from above or below, and a slight head tilt which felt more natural than a straight vertical pose. They use a library model, where the catalogue holds information about many files centrally. 2 Where are the images stored in a catalogue based system?
