If you have a Sat Nav it can take you on alternative routes to the Kirkaig Chalets (these involve lots of single track roads) but the most direct route heading North is as follows:-. From the South, Lochinver is 98 miles/2 hours drive from Inverness. Follow A9 Northward then West on the A835 via Ullapool to Ledmore Junction (80 miles). Turn left onto the A387 to Lochinver (20 miles).

They are thought to be the oldest in Britain and contain some of the great mountains of the North such as Suilven, Canisp, Quinag Stac Polly and Ben More Assynt which is our nearest Munro, a "walkers’ paradise", from the coast to high peaks! There is also a hairdryer. A bathroom with a bath and shower. A large open plan kitchen/living area with a door opening on to a balcony. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a washing machine/dryer, large fridge-freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster. We are strictly non smoking.
