Serving God in all you do. Friday, August 26, 2011. Sewing Edges II: Attaching Bias Tape. When I first started working with bias tape, I didn't know much about it. While this method worked okay, I have since learned there is actually a technique to properly install bias tape that results in a more professional looking edge. Click the images below to enlarge them. 2 Pin the narrow. 3 Stitch in the fold of the bias tape. Subscribe to: Post ...

Vocations: Freezer Feasts

Serving God in all you do. Sunday, August 21, 2011. I like pizza. I enjoy making pizza from scratch, but I generally don't plan far enough in advance for the dough to have time to rise, so I often ended up buying frozen pizzas to have on hand for such occasions. I have always wanted to try freezing my own and was thrilled to find Amy's blog post. About her pizza freezing experience. I doubled the ingredients from Amy's crust recipe. The crust just started to become crisp at this point. I transferred ...

Serving God in all you do. Saturday, July 23, 2011. One of the first things I noticed was how many Bible passages are quoted out of context. As its basis, the book coerces Genesis 2:25. To mean that Adam and Eve were delighting in their God-designed sexual relationship (15). The authors further suggest that a long time intervened before the command to bear children was given in Genesis 3:16. However, they completely ignore Genesis 1:28. Was to bear a child in her old age. In their premarital counseling c...

Vocations: Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

Serving God in all you do. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread. The next morning, I cut up the biga (left) and the soaker (right) into small pieces and combined them. The recipe calls for more flour, salt, yeast, sweetener, and fat. I used whole wheat flour, salt, instant dry yeast, honey, and canola oil. (In the future, I will likely use melted butter instead.). Then comes my favorite part: kneading the dough! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
