Workshop 1 - Field. Saturday, 23 March 2013. Major Assignment - Documentary Project - Proposal. My plan for the documentary assignment is to show “Behind the scenes at the National Gallery”. I have sourced permission from Alan Froud the Deputy Director, who believes it will provide a snap shot of the gallery at a specific point in time and welcomes the idea. Workshop 2 - Field. Wednesday, 13 November 2013. Portraits on Location Proposal. I have organised to shoot some work colleagues at the gallery, for both the single and group portraits. The boardroom and or the assistant director of Administration’s office have really nice ambient light and the possibility of being photographed in front of works of art. Workshop 1 - Studio. Wednesday, 29 May 2013. Saturday, 4 May 2013. Studio Assignment - so far. Monday, 1 April 2013. Http:/ www.hodginsphotography.com/businessportraitday/. Body angled 45 degrees to the camera, facing front on. Lighting both sides slightly to the back (stronger light than directly on face). Lighting on black background spot light effect. Reflector or diffused light on the face. Longer Focal length to create softer background. Body angled 45 degrees to the camera, facing not quite front on.

Workshop 2 - Studio. Tuesday, 19 November 2013. Assignment 1 - Portraiture and Research. The mood/location lighting idea was to give to the feel of a high small window shining down on the subject. I chose to use a black background as I didn't want to get light reflecting off a white one, however having a black background also had its challenge to get some spill onto it.
