Crystal and cate headed off after a few days and vanessa and i moved into what i call 'the complex' -a simple row of rooms tucked away in a jack fruit orchard, where crows jump from branch to branch while cawing madly, the odd cow grazes by, squirrels chase each other, the hill rises behind us and absolutely no traffic can be seen or heard. will i ever leave?
