Ausgehend von meiner Faszination für Farbe sowie der Intension die Materialität der Farbe zu begreifen, entstand ab 2012 eine Werkreihe von monochromen Farbobjekten. Basis ist die Arbeit mit dem reinen Pigment, welches gebunden auf den Objektträger (Holz, MDF oder auch Papier) mit einem Metallspachtel aufgetragen wird. Das Auftragen als solches benötigt viel körperliche Energie, denn erst wenn Teile der Oberfläche bestimmte Texturen aufweisen ist der Arbeitsprozess beendet.

Mich interessiert das Verhalten und die Wirkung von Farbe und Material. Bildträger ist handgeschöpftes Papier, das mit seiner haptischen Textur, mit seinen undefinierten Kanten für sich schon etwas Besonderes ist. In meinem Zyklus Vielschichtig arbeite ich ausschließlich mit kleinen Formaten, wobei ich Acrylfarben, Pigmente, Tinte und anderen Materialien wie Kupfer, Eisen und Ölpastellkreisen in unzähligen Arbeitsschritten auf das Papier schichte, abkratze und in neuen Prozessen wieder auftrage.
