Thursday, March 1, 2012. Yesterday i wanted to be at disneyland for one more disney day and 24 hours of goodness. and then i thought about how many people would be there and decided i'd really rather go at one of our "usual" times when the crowds are minimal. I woke up yesterday thinking about how in 2012 i got one more day to celebrate life and have amazing opportunities at asu. one more day to show the people i love how much i love them. one more day to prove that i am passionate about what i do.

I am both physically and emotionally exhausted. ca training is wearing me out like nothing i have ever experienced. even last year's training at suu that my co cc and i practically single-handedly facilitated was not this overwhelming. But all i want to do is sleep. sleep late. sleep a full 8 hours. sleep without worrying about duty calls. sleep without having to get up for duty calls. and i think i desire it so because i honestly can't tell you the next time ...

Tonight was ASU's Second Annual Pitchfork Awards where our students, faculty, staff, athletes, programs, and innovations are recognized Grammy-style on the Downtown Phoenix Campus. To be completely honest, I wasn't thrilled about going to the event, but a lot of my students and their organizations were nominated and I was excited about supporting them. Monday, January 30, 2012. My name tag and business cards arrived today. I still miss suu. i am constantly thinking of what i left behind and the people i loved, some for five years, and how they are doing. i hope that someday i'll go back- after i've completed this journey, earned my masters degree in higher ed, and i can make a great impact. i mean, wouldn't it be fitting if i ended up right where i began? There's a lot of steps between here and there, and for now i'm more than satisfied being here.
