The Unlikely Homemaker: 1,000 Gifts
http://www.theunlikelyhomemaker.com/p/1000-gifts.html
Some of my favorites. I've been inspired by Lindsay at Passionate Homemaking. To start writing down the gifts I'm thankful for. I am not a natural homemaker, and I'm still looking for what works for me while I am home with my children, so it really helps to see and appreciate even the simplest of things. I will keep adding to this list every day, and hopefully I will exceed 1,000 gifts! 1 A 2 year old who lovingly pours and serves me "foffee". 2 A smiling baby first thing in the morning. Once Upon A Time.

The Unlikely Homemaker: The Mommy Files
http://www.theunlikelyhomemaker.com/p/mommy-files.html
Some of my favorites. What no one told me about being a parent (a work in progress):. 1 Onesies are a silly piece of clothing, especially for a newborn! If the baby gets a blowout, there's no other way to get that piece of clothing off than by pulling it over their head! 2 The brand "Crayola" is not synonymous with "washable". I guess not all Crayola markers are washable. Just the ones that say washable. Send me your e-mails with your mommy files! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Get updates by e-mail. 30 Day...

The Unlikely Homemaker: Disneyland Tips We Love!
http://www.theunlikelyhomemaker.com/2015/06/disneyland-tips-we-love.html
Some of my favorites. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Disneyland Tips We Love! That's my husband's hand, not mine ;). When I was pregnant with my third child, we took our first two children to Disneyland. My son was 3 at the time, and my daughter was almost 2. That trip awakened our love for all things Disney! We've been annual passholders for going on 2 years now, and in those two years, we have discovered so much useful (and completely useless yet fun) information and facts on all things Disney. Dump a little ...

The Unlikely Homemaker: Behind my shower curtain - Cheap and Natural Beauty Routine
http://www.theunlikelyhomemaker.com/2013/03/behind-my-shower-curtain-cheap-and.html
Some of my favorites. Friday, March 29, 2013. Behind my shower curtain - Cheap and Natural Beauty Routine. It's been a fairly slow journey, but I've managed to make my shower/beauty routine very simple and natural. I wash my face with oil. Then I moisturize with coconut oil. Sometimes, when I don't accidentally add too much Tea Tree Oil to my Olive Oil/Castor Oil mixture, I swish some in my mouth. FYI-I use Bella Pierre. All of the items above cost pennies per use, and except for the castor oil, I alread...

The Unlikely Homemaker: Martha and Mary
http://www.theunlikelyhomemaker.com/p/martha-and-mary.html
Some of my favorites. Martha and Mary were sisters that were mentioned a few times in the bible. The most common story that is told about them is when Jesus visited their home. This story is often told in reference to the work that Martha completed while her sister sat. Martha and Mary, hosting Jesus. Tell her to help me! Martha, Mary, and their brother Lazarus. Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus. Of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2. If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, bec...

The Unlikely Homemaker: Thoughtful and frugal baby shower gift
http://www.theunlikelyhomemaker.com/2011/05/thoughtful-and-frugal-baby-shower-gifts.html
Some of my favorites. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Thoughtful and frugal baby shower gift. At most baby showers the guest of honored will be "showered" with tons of cute baby clothes and goodies. Not often are gifts given for the mom only. After I had my baby shower when I was pregnant with my son, I sat in what would be his room, surrounded by a ton of baby shower gift bags. I had lots of clothes, diapers and wipes. I was very blessed. Or at least some items that should go into a hospital overnight bag.
