Cooking for the Culinary Challenged: Pineapple Chicken

http://kitchenechie.blogspot.com/2007/05/pineapple-chicken.html

Monday, May 14, 2007. This will not get a passing mark for photography classes. Well, I'm not really into food photography, and I have but a point-and-shoot digicam to work with, so please be forgiving of how the meal presentation looks like. Anyway, this food experiment started when I discovered a bunch of sliced pineapples sitting in my refrigerator that were already getting too ripe for me to eat. So I decided to do another cooking experiment: pineapple chicken! 5 pieces chicken drumsticks.

Cooking for the Culinary Challenged: Buttered Shrimps in Oyster Sauce

http://kitchenechie.blogspot.com/2007/05/buttered-shrimps-in-oyster-sauce.html

Wednesday, May 9, 2007. Buttered Shrimps in Oyster Sauce. I got this recipe from Ate Chai, one of our churchmates who cooks really good. She told me to just marinate the shrimps in Spirte or 7-UP, cook it in butter and add oyster sauce. Sounded simple right? So when I got myself a kilo of shrimps from the supermarket, I decided to use half of the shrimps to try this new recipe. 1/2 kilo of shrimp. 2 cups Sprite or 7-UP. 2 tablespoons oyster sauce. 2 Melt butter into pan then sautee shrimps in butter.

My writer's blog (this blog). Then I created another blog where to put all my recipes for cooking experiments. Somebody give me ideas how to consolidate all my blogs! Monday, May 07, 2007. It started when my great auntie Esther gave us this set of herbs and spices last Christmas. It contains almost every flavoring you would nee...

Love food or shut up. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Sorghum Butter: My New Love. August 7, 2015. Sorghum itself (the grass) is also processed into a flour to use as a gluten-free replacement. It does a good job of mimicking the taste of wheat without being as dense as flax or spelt. Here is a quick recipe (seriously, like 5 minutes) to mix up and use on EVERYTHING. 1/2 cup unsalted butter (preferably Plugra or another European butter), softened to room temp. The Kitchen Economist | How to be economical in the kitchen without starving to death!

How to be economical in the kitchen without starving to death! What Are You Saving For? November 17, 2011. What Are You Saving For? I’ve learned some pretty horrific statistics in the last three months, two of those will forever be burnt into my brain. Did you know that if you have shelter, running water and transportation (even if it’s public transportation, ie. the bus) that you are in the top 10% of the worlds wealth? I can speak at your church or group! Lizeth- “God’s Promise”. July 9, 2011. I apolog...

The Kitchen Table Economist

The Kitchen Table Economist. Reacquainting modern economics with its essential building block – the family. Thursday, August 30, 2007. Any serious proposals to ease the squeeze? Yes, Virginia, the middle class is getting hammered in America. Yesterday the Census Bureau reported:. Translation produced by taking off the rose-colored glasses: families are working more hours to just stay in place. And that's just the fortunate families who owned homes several years ago.
