Fall Planting | Kitchen Garden Path

https://kitchengardenpath.wordpress.com/2013/11/15/fall-planting

Our journey to creating a sustainable garden. So the back yard garden has been put to rest for the winter. The parsley is happy and the sage looks good. I have planted garlic out back. Calendula going strong ( have saved seeds that I have distributed to half of my neighbors) Radishes already popping up. Celery started from seed. Calima Beans – type bush bean. Two kinds of Kale with more sprouting up…can never have too much Kale. Romanesco with Artichoke in background. Two types of carrots. I can relate a...

Tomatoes! | Kitchen Garden Path

https://kitchengardenpath.wordpress.com/2013/08/14/tomatoes

Our journey to creating a sustainable garden. I am so impatient to harvest my tomatoes that I picked these few this morning…to ease myself. And of course…we have zucchini….I actually pulled out one of the plants this morning…I think I have like 4. Getting ready for fall plantings. I love to look at the morning’s harvest on my counter…makes me happy! Going to barter some tomatoes and Swiss Chard today for 15 pounds of Bartlett and Anjou pears, picked yesterday in Healdsburg! And tagged black krim.

The vibrant colors of summer… | Kitchen Garden Path

https://kitchengardenpath.wordpress.com/2013/08/10/the-vibrant-colors-of-summer

Our journey to creating a sustainable garden. The vibrant colors of summer…. This season has been one of pure joy for me. The garden is amazing! Every morning I am out in the garden checking on things. Harvesting…watering…weeding…argh! But I have so much joy looking at the array of beautiful vegetables on my kitchen counter…that I grew! Ouch…that was me pinching myself…. The colors of summer are so vibrant and beautiful. I just want to sit down and paint a still life each day. And tagged kitchen garden.

Garlic and Shallots | Kitchen Garden Path

https://kitchengardenpath.wordpress.com/2014/02/24/garlic-and-shallots

Our journey to creating a sustainable garden. My garden is so confused. Not sure which season it is. With the lack of rain and the sunny days my plants have started to bolt a bit. My front garden is looking really beautiful as some of the brassicas have flowered because we can only eat so much broccoli, cauliflower, rapini and romanesco! They look lovely and taste yummy too. In my keyhole bed I have a mixture of shallots, leeks and Welsh bunching onions. They are all loving this weather. Older: Frozen Ki...
