I don't know why anyone buys canned/jarred crap." *excuse me while I sneak off to hide my jars of spaghetti sauce*. Enter the quick meat sauce using *gasp* canned tomatoes. *cue the sarcasm* Oh, the horror. 1 lb extra lean ground chuck. 1 medium onion, finely chopped (I cheat and use dried minced onion which means I can skip a step). 2 medium zucchini, chopped. 1075 oz can tomato puree. 1 t sea salt.

Then you take the liquid from that and make the stew. Slow cooker short ribs. 1 c red wine. Fill remainder with water. 3-4 large red potatoes quartered. 2-3 carrots chopped in 1/3s. Liquid from the short ribs. Root veggies (2-3 sweet potatoes, 3-4 turnips, 4-5 parsnips, etc). 15oz can diced tomatoes. 1 c red wine.

Cold water as needed. A pinch of salt. Preheat the oven to 180C. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a circle with a diameter of 10 inches. Line an 8 inch tart pan with the pastry. Press down into corners and sides. Trim the edges and prick the pastry base using a fork. Salt and pepper to taste.
