a look through my lens: What I love about my "job"
http://lookthrumylens.blogspot.com/2009/09/what-i-love-about-my-job.html
Thursday, September 17, 2009. What I love about my "job". One of the things that I really love about my job is the ability to do it from anywhere. Just a few days ago, I was sitting in a swanky Manhattan hotel working away. As I looked. Out the window, I could see right into an office building. I watched the people work while I. Did the same. It really reminded me of the luxury I have. I can work from home, on a plane,. On the beach, poolside. As long as I have my MacBook and my iPhone, I am set.

a look through my lens: November 2008
http://lookthrumylens.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 20, 2008. A friend of mine put this on her blog. It is an interesting take on a "bucket list". The ones in red are the ones that I have done. Start your own blog. Slept under the stars. Played in a band. Watched a meteor shower. Given more than you can afford to charity. Held a Praying Mantis. Watched a lightning storm at sea. Taught yourself an art form from scratch. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty. Grown your own vegtables. Seen the Mona Lisa in France. Had a pillow fight.

Tuesday, November 18, 2008. While I was in NYC for Photo Plus, I was interviewed by Derrick Story of O'Reilly Media about Aperture and the Aperture Nature Photography Workshop ( ANPW. It was an amazing experience to be interviewed by Mr. Story. He is a legend. One of the other winners/attendees of the ANPW was there along side me. His name is Rob Trueman. Here is a link to the interview. Inside Aperture. Thank you Derrick for letting me speak with you about Aperture. I really enjoyed it!

a look through my lens: Finding something in an odd place
http://lookthrumylens.blogspot.com/2008/11/finding-something-in-odd-place.html
Thursday, November 6, 2008. Finding something in an odd place. I was at a putt putt golf place with family and friends on Saturday. I was not playing, but taking pictures of all the kiddos playing. I decided to challenge myself and see if I could find something interesting to photograph. I did. Here is what I found. That has been my new challenge to myself. To look all around where ever I am at. To find something interesting to photograph, even when it seems as though there is nothing there.

a look through my lens: Goodbye Summer...Hello Autumn
http://lookthrumylens.blogspot.com/2009/09/goodbye-summerhello-autumn.html
Friday, September 11, 2009. Goodbye Summer.Hello Autumn. It's been a long, hot summer this year. I have traveled all over the country taking pictures. For me, it doesn't get any better than that. One of the things I love about being a photographer is the ability to travel and document the places that I visit. Here are some images from the places that I have been this summer. I thought this baby was so cute walking down the mall in Charlottesville, VA. Country roads, take me home. From where I visit.
