On the cusp of adulthood in America. Thursday, July 29, 2004. Well, the guy who does HIV testing at the community center calls me "sweetie." He is also the perfect example of a guy who could play the guitar on a park bench and you could just sink your head into his lap while he strums the guitar and thinks about how beautiful life is. Until we get ticketed for loitering, that is, but that's all we got. I think I'll make him wear green. He'd look good in green. and white pants. But he does call me sweetie.

On the cusp of adulthood in America. Sunday, August 29, 2004. I was thinking about death again, as I am wont to do. If, as before, "me" as a concept is a collection of electrical signals, and thus an idea, and ideas never die. And when someone goes comatose, they don't remember anything when they wake up except for dreams; and thus, after they are knocked out, they feel that they woke up immediately after. And, when I die, my neurons go cold and their material disperses. Posted by Leticia @ 7:51 PM.

On the cusp of adulthood in America. Saturday, January 31, 2004. We have a culture of obnoxiousness. Exhibit A: T-shirts on middle schoolers. Today’s fashion is to wear a shirt that says (I kid you not), Stop looking at my shirt and get a life, If I throw a stick, will you leave? And the proliferating You smell. It criticizes the Bush budget. We kill people in numbers exponentially larger than those of other countries (with bloodier pasts), we elect wrestlers and movie stars in hopes of solving fiscal cr...

On the cusp of adulthood in America. Friday, April 30, 2004. I got an E-mail saying that everything I wrote about Conway's Life was wrong. Here we gooo. Okay, I'm going to assume that you are a very smart man, you graduated from Cambridge with honors and that you know absolutely what you are talking about. Mea culpa. I'll try to be more careful next time. I don't have a penis. But I had you there, didn't I? Posted by Leticia @ 11:47 PM. And you know that deputy undersecretary of defense Lt. Gen. ...Are w...

I Capture the Castle, by Dodie Smith. Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. By Dimps, Sonic Team/Sega. Sex and the Country. Topfree Equal Rights Association.

On the cusp of adulthood in America. Wednesday, November 03, 2004. Yeah, yeah, so you all know by now that Kerry conceeded the election to Bush. I suppose I should wait until I can give a reason analysis instead of a knee-jerk response, but too bad. But the main reason that people are voting for Bush, I imagine, in my completely biased, lib'rul opinion, is that people really do believe in the "Bush doctrine," the idea that America should rule the world. Fuck what Britain thinks! Fuck what France thinks!

On the cusp of adulthood in America. Sunday, October 31, 2004. By the way, I am now taking submissions on Le Grande Plan (le NEW grande plan, since Kathryn's didn't work out so well) on How I Can Have HIV Testing Man All To Myself, Short of Turning Him Into a Batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies and Eating Him, Slowly, and then Licking My Fingers and Oohing. So think of your BEST plan. How might you woo the HIV Testing Man? What will lure him into a fancy restaurant faster than you can say "whipped cream?

On the cusp of adulthood in America. Thursday, September 30, 2004. Well, I've almost made it through my first week of college. I don't like it! How will I ever finish all my homework? By the way, as a high school student, my homework load is pretty modest. but still! Going to university to finish high school puts a lot of pressure on me.). Guess what I did? Well you won't get this, but I imagined Dr. Eggman turning me into one of his robots. Isn't that sick? Posted by Leticia @ 1:54 AM. So it must suck t...
