n'importe quoi: Eking out your meat
http://dishdosh.blogspot.com/2013/02/eking-out-your-meat.html
Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Eking out your meat. Over the years I have acquired a knack for making what may seem like an undersized portion of meat stretch, and so I thought I would share some of these skills in the form of a recipe:. My take on a Beef Stroganoff. Sadly no photo as was consumed before I remembered to get camera out so this photo of a cow will have to suffice for now). 3 medium carrots (peeled and diced). Half a standard sized pack of mushrooms (chunked up). 1/2 tsp dried tarragon.

n'importe quoi: September 2011
http://dishdosh.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. Ever seen the first sequence in the film Amelie? So far I've managed to sew a book cover (a big achievement for me! And take some rain photos. Making beautiful things helps me to better appreciate the God-made beauty around me, in the things that he made directly like the rain, but also the beauty that flows out of the creativity he put in people. (plus it will help me to watch less iplayer). I want to live life fully with wide-open eyes and an open heart. Links to this post.

n'importe quoi: no limits
http://dishdosh.blogspot.com/2013/03/no-limits.html
Tuesday, March 05, 2013. I had for a while succumbed to a numb acceptance that I was and would never really be a morning person and that a lack of self-discipline which hindered how I used my time was something which would never go away. That was just the way I was, and that was that. It was as though I had woken up in every sense of the word - physically, mentally, spiritually! So I've been trying to do that ever since, and most days (when I remember to ask) he does! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

n'importe quoi: D-day +??
http://dishdosh.blogspot.com/2013/06/d-day.html
Wednesday, June 19, 2013. And I tell them my due date was on Monday. Everyone does a double-take. Some people take a half step back in trepidation as though my waters will explode dramatically and I'll double over with sudden immense contractions in that moment before their very eyes - ha! Quote of today has to have come from my grandmother who phoned today from Sri Lanka and couldn't understand how I could still be so active and yet this baby hadn't decided to arrive yet. "Are you drinking milk?

Monday, December 26, 2011. Resisting the post-christmas rush. Links to this post. Thursday, December 01, 2011. The last few days have been pretty wet and dreary here in Glasgow (though perhaps a good op to capture some good rain photos - see previous blog post) and I have been racked with tiredness, but my days have been pretty full and I'm lifting my eyes up and remembering the beauty and the goodness I have experienced over the last wee while. After about 6 weeks without it, thanks to a belated visit t...

n'importe quoi: August 2013
http://dishdosh.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 02, 2013. From bump to baby. And t'was a she! It's been a lesson in patience and endurance like I have never experienced. From having to persevere through nearly 48 hours of labour to walking up and down comforting a crying baby when you yourself are tired and not in full physical health. You can't turn around and go back to sleep when she starts crying for food at 2am. I'm trying hard to savour each moment because my word do they grow fast! Picture 1 (on Day 4). Picture 2 (on Day 32).

Wednesday, May 08, 2013. Combatting the nesting instinct. Having observed this in other mums-to-be, I was well aware of the consequences and so was psyched up to tackle it when it hit me. It first manifested itself back in the early days of second tri rather conveniently in an urge to do housework on my days off like never before. In fact I can't say I've ever felt much of an urge to do housework full stop! Spybeys 1 Nesting instinct 0. Spybeys 2 Nesting instinct 0. Spybeys 3 Nesting instinct 0. Combatti...
