Saturday, September 29, 2012. As the summer winds to a close, we're taking every opportunity to get outside when the weather allows it. 80 degrees, sunny, and calm qualifies as 'allowing it'. A perfect fall day to see some changing leaves. Stumps are fun too. A fallen tree makes a great bridge. Hmmm, ants in the way. Anna wanted no part of the ants. Laura gave it a shot though. Hiking is fun. More fun however, when daddy carries you and you fall asleep. So, that's the last of the pictures. Go Laura, Go!

Saturday, August 18, 2012. I scream, you scream. We are celebrating Mike's return from a week of fishing in Canada. Because of the girls' (mostly) good behavior while he was gone, I took them to the ice cream shop this afternoon. Decisions, decisions. Mango gelato, mom! Mom, my mango gelato was good, but your Salted Caramel Fudge is wayyyy better. Mmm, blue gelato . And no, there was no flavor attached, it was just "Blue Gelato". Welcome back, Mike! Sunday, November 30, 2014. Some (Gavin) ask for a lot. Yes, that is a pool 4' wide and 6' deep for #3, and a heater for that pool. Others (Jacob) are a bit more conservative and a bit nerdy. Friday, November 14, 2014. Here comes the snow. They are geared up and ready for snow and cold. Lucked out and got about the last pair of snow pants left in the stores for Jacob. Monday, December 31, 2012. 2012: A good year. It was a busy year in the Gillespie house. They started the year off with a trip to Disney World, and never looked back. Days at the beach. Visit from the tooth fairy. And Tap for Laura. They are two very different and unique personalities. Thursday, July 5, 2012. In the 100 degree 4th of July heat, we escaped to Prior Lake for some fun in the water, with an occasional break for a snack of two. All in all, they had a great day, and even celebrated by staying up late to discover fireworks are really, really loud. (And then going inside and watching My Little Pony instead of fireworks). Sunday, January 22, 2012. First trip to the ski hill. We decided to take advantage of our fine winter weather and hit the slopes. About a week ago Emily drove the kids by Buck Hill by our house, and the kids got really excited, so we had to take them. Anna's first time down the hill. Since Anna knows no fear, this came about as natural as can be. She did have the sense to hold onto me, at least for the first few runs. Laura kept insisting that she can do it herself. Monday, April 27, 2015. Once a month, Lowes Stores offer free building projects for kids. I've taken Robert and Logan to a couple of these project days. The first one was a monster truck. The second was a see thru planter. They are perfect little angles in the store and work very hard on their projects. Robert working hard on his monster truck.
