Sunday, January 8, 2012. To finish off the day we headed to Kraft and checked out Bubble Butt V7. Bubble Butt has been my nemesis since arriving in Vegas. This would be my third session and I still hadn't figured out the crux move. Well after a few tries and simply applying proper technique I managed to pull of a send of this iconic problem just as the sun was falling behind the hills. Saturday, January 21, 2012. Yes it's been a long time since a post, but oh well. I'm sitting at the Looney Bean and I might as well do it now. I have been doing a ton of stuff this year, mostly related to route setting at competitions, but now I finally get some climbing time and what better place to spend it than my favorite bouldering area. BISHOP! Xaviers Roof. First problem after our warm up. Boyko flashed like a monster. I did it in three goes. Joel Zerr should have some video up soon.

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. A month ago I embarked on a long trip to The Red River Gorge. The Red has to be the sport climbing capital of the U.S.A. The concentration of routes in all grades is staggering and the potential for development of new lines is even more mind blowing. It is a sand stone paradise. Thank you to all the awesome people I met at the Zachariah house and peace to The Red River Gorge. Mark my words……I will be back. Enjoy some shots from the end of the trip. Gotta love the Ale 8 1. Thursday, March 17, 2011. In my video class another one of our assignments was to pick a scene out of a movie and recreate it to the best of our abilities. It is very tricky to find just the right clip to choose because most movies out there our course have very high budgets which means very complicated camera work and special effects. Matt Climbing Into The Beyond! Thursday, June 30, 2011. More then half way home! I'm a unstoppable climbing machine! Or at least that's my mantra before I go to sleep each night. My body is sore! I don't think climbing five days a week would be so bad if I wasn't in the middle of a training program. Basically I've been forced to do weights and pull-ups on climbing days.
