Intro to Literature: April 2011
http://aaronmatamoros.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 8, 2011. I think the world wouldnt be any different without books, at least in the short term. most of the information contained in books can easily be found online. in the long run however, its impossible to say how the world would "look like" without books. what if something happens to the internet? Like the govt shutting it down), what if the internet doesnt even exist in the future? Would there be any other way of looking up information? Sunday, April 3, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Introduction to Literature: Burning Books...
http://natlars.blogspot.com/2011/04/burning-books.html
Friday, April 8, 2011. April 10, 2011 at 2:53 PM. I definitely think that good books are often way better than even the good movies because they have so much detail that a lot has to be cut in order for the movie to not be 5 hours long. April 11, 2011 at 8:45 AM. I think while books are a great way to spark imagination and creativity, there are other substitutes for it.should we no longer have books. April 11, 2011 at 8:54 AM. Introduction to Literature: April 2011
http://natlars.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 15, 2011. I love this class. Intro to Literature has been one of the few classes I really enjoy going to. The topics we discuss are thought provoking, relevant, debatable, and beneficial to us as we are growing up and earning more responsibilities. I've never been assigned so many books in a class, and enjoyed the majority of them. My favorite book I'd have to say was Culture Jam. My friends and I at a nearby lake after hiking last Easter. Introduction to Literature: Uncle Sam
http://natlars.blogspot.com/2011/02/uncle-sam.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. America though it represents freedom and equal opportunity, we have slowly shown signs of Orwell's 1984 world. We have survallience cameras in every store and on every corner outside. The government can screen our calls. Our home address, family tree, gender, marital status and house value is open to the public on http:/ www.spokeo.com/. Everything is taxed and everyone must have an American Express card and Starbucks everyday. What kind of society are we going to turn into?

Introduction to Literature: Blog #8 The Hunger Games
http://natlars.blogspot.com/2011/04/blog-8-hunger-games.html
Thursday, April 7, 2011. Blog #8 The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games also reminded me of a song. Dance with the Devil by Immortal Technique. This song is about a young boy who wants to be in a gang, and will do whatever it takes to be initiated. He will do whatever it takes until he realized what he is doing. You'll have to listen to the song to hear the whole story. This song reminds me of The Hunger Games because both raise the question 'how far will you hurt others to benefit yourself?

Intro to Lit: Transported into the future
http://mk6890.blogspot.com/2011/02/transported-into-future.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. Transported into the future. This future world is absolutely astonishing. I thought people in the 19. Century were distracted and the people here in 2011 are constantly distracted. It is as if their entire life consists of one distraction after another. There are even some people who have never been in the woods, and would never want to. If I weren’t here myself I would never believe this, it’s like a horror story! They informed me that the University wanted to connect the li...

Intro to Lit: February 2011
http://mk6890.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Although 1984 is very long and is written in very small print, I find the concept of this society to be quite interesting. Our society has not completely taken away our right to privacy but when thinking about the process of getting on a plane and the new technologies like gps' and onstar it is easy to wonder when the line has been crossed. Saturday, February 19, 2011. Transported into the future. This future world is absolutely astonishing. I thought people in the 19. Apparen...

Introduction to Literature: January 2011
http://natlars.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 31, 2011. It's sad to say that people are afraid of reality. It's pretty much saying that people are afraid to live. Media has created this ideal 'way of life' that makes individuals feel if they can't fit that ideal mold, then they are outcasts- failures. Why attempt to gel into an impossible mold when online games allow us to create our own? Thursday, January 20, 2011. I believe literature is any form of written expression. It is when letters form words to convey messages and emotio...
