Mexico: Dec 2014 - Mar 2015. Bucerias - 3 months, Oaxaca - 1 month. My sister, Margo, and her husband, Paul, arrived on Jan 20. They spent two days in Bucerias before they checked into their Edward Jones vacation at the St Regis. It was an opportunity to spend two days with us in a 2/3 star hotel, before their 5 star experience in Punta de Mita which is only a 15min taxi ride from Bucerias. First night, dinner on the beach at Karen's Restaurant. Taco Salad, second night at Delicias Mexicanas.

Mexico: Dec 2014 - Mar 2015. Bucerias - 3 months, Oaxaca - 1 month. Delicias Mexicanas was one of our favourite restaurants in Bucerias. It opened in December 2014, and we watched it expand and evolve from then until we left at the end of February. The owner and chef, Abraham, was not new to Bucerias or to the restaurant business. Abraham preparing tortilla soup. His famous enchiladas verde (green sauce made with tomatillos). Lunch at Delicias Mexicanas with Peggy from Victoria. Yoga on the Roof.

After 3 months in our lovely Casa de Pancho apartment, it was time to leave. We moved into Suites Costa Dorada. Lance, Mary Beth, Larry, Karen at Delicias Mexicanas. Mexico: Dec 2014 - Mar 2015. Bucerias - 3 months, Oaxaca - 1 month. There are four one bedroom apartments at Casa de Pancho. Usually, they are rented by people of a "certain age." That is, people of our age. But this year, Herbert had a cancellation and one unit was empty until mid January when Tanya and Sarah arrived. Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama: 2010/2011. Our first trip to Central America. We arrived home Feb 8. We had planned to travel until the end of March, but decided to return early for a few reasons. Our house sitters did not come to Victoria due to illness; and after 2 months, we were ready to return. It was a good trip. SE Asia: Dec 2011 - Mar 2012. We returned home as scheduled on Mar 14. Great flight, Eva Air was wonderful as usual and of course travelling with rather than against the trade winds makes a huge difference: 9.5hr flight Taipei to Vancouver versus a 14hr flight Vancouver to Taipei! Now we are unpacked, back on Pacific Time, and settled into our routines in Victoria. It was a great trip! Until next time . Majestic faces from Angkor Thom. Thailand: Dec 2013 - Mar 2014. Golfing in Hua Hin. Late March – Final Days, Final Thoughts. When we arrived in Dec, the weather was very pleasant – even a bit cool – approximately 18C in the early morning, mid 20Cs in the afternoon. Gradually it got warmer, and by mid-March, it was truly hot! Mid-day temperatures reached 34C and dropped to only 27-29C overnight.
