This lesson model helped me to rework my writing assignments in such a way that writing was meaningful to the students. The idea for the class book that I have mentioned came from this design. Hoe hoor ik erbij? Je moet eerst iets vasthouden om het los te kunnen laten. Het mooiste dat je kunt worden is jezelf. Je kunt een probleem niet oplossen met de denkwijze die het heeft veroorzaakt. Soms moet je even stilstaan om verder te komen. Golven kun je niet tegenhouden, maar je kunt wel leren surfen. Ervaring is niet dat wat je overkomt, ervaring is wat je doet met wat je overkomt. Als je doet wat je leuk vindt hoef je nooit te werken. Bomen vragen zich nooit af, waarom hun takken hen zo dwarsbomen.
