Zondag 12 december 2010. Van Solitaire naast de Naukluft dessert naar Aus. Verder zuidwaarts van het zeer warme Solitaire naar het koelere Aus. Een lange rit die langs een der oudste woestijnen, de Naukluft, ter wereld loopt. Via Maltahöhe, Helmeringshausen naar Aus. De weg was een erbarmelijke gravelweg.. Maltahöhe, er ligt in het dorpje een asfaltbaan! Mens die mijn band probeerde te herstellen. Het is er duidelijk koeler. De zee is 125 km verder naar het westen.
