Monday, December 28, 2009. I was able to fly to Houston to spend the week of Halloween with Dustin's family. As usual I was given a wonderful welcome. Paulette has learned the art of towel animals. I wonder where she got the idea? This was supposed to be Hayden's birthday present, but Dylan liked it, too. Kolton was very patient while we waited for the van to be fixed at the Honda garage. Hayden looked forward to his soccer game, but perhaps the goodies given out when it was over were the biggest draw.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Dog Bed, Cilantro, and the Month of May. This is a major announcement! I finally found a bed that Rusty will sleep in! I was at Sam's one day and saw this one and thought I would give it one last shot. I mean, he's only (somewhere around) 8 years old and never in his life would he consider sleeping in a dog bed. Believe me when I say I have tried every make and model out there, and Radar enjoyed chewing them all up. This is such a breakthrough for us! This stuff is like weeds!

If you talk to him about it, the most important part about him catching a fish was that he was the first one to do it since I managed to catch one (a bigger one) a while later. Hayden was there too but didn't make it in to the big action story because he is not allowed to fish with an actual hook on the end of his line. We went on an awesome vacation to Cancun, compliments of the Kline family (not us). I would highly recommend it to anyone. We arrived and quickly started taking advantage of the all inclusive aspect of the resort. Maybe a little too much? We enjoyed several very nice dinners. Did a little local shopping.
