She's recommending I get a cortisone injection in my shoulder because my shoulder isn't getting any better but thankfully it's not getting any worse either. Going around in circles. A first hand account on my crazy decision to try and join the world of roller derby. Thursday, April 17, 2014. Back to where it all began. I have run out of superlatives to say about her but she did put in another AMAZING performance on Saturday. After nearly 3 1/2 years I couldn't believe it either, I still can't. I feel a mixture of nerves, excitement and disbelief about it all. There is that nagging little thought in my head 'Am I really ready to start bouting? I hope I am!

I'm suddenly feeling the urge to write again with this blog. I suppose it's a good sign that I'm writing a bit more frequently now, maybe it's a sign that all the feelings are coming back again for me. There's a lot going on derby wise so I may as well get started. Roll on the second half and my guys went on to win 175-109!

The biggest issue I'm finding this year is that I've lost my spark. No, I'm not quitting derby. If I haven't quit by now after all the injuries quite frankly I don't think I ever will.
