guffey love: May 2014
http://guffeylove.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 30, 2014. Yesterday, we had an issue. You see, I have a phobia. It's silly. Not quite like people on Jerry Springer who are terrified of toasters, but it's a little ridiculous. You just think about that. Lizards. They paralyze me. I'm getting better. I don't want my children to be afraid of them. So I've been doing a little manning up over here. But hey. I'm not all the way there yet. Yesterday there was a lizard in my house. It was in my safe space. I'm not making this up. This is not good.

guffey love: September 2014
http://guffeylove.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2014. Thursday morning Josephine slept in, so I thought I'd take advantage of the shifted naptime and let her play in a play group at Chamblee's school while I took my wild man on a breakfast date. Just the 2 of us. I took him for his first smothered and covered at Waffle House. We were loving it. Watching KSU buses and Mighty Machines go by the window, (always construction over there now). And then it happened. This older woman sitting behind us started the conversation. I don't ...

Saturday, December 21, 2013. I'm competitive. Sure, sure, when you invite us over we will smile and. Play an innocent game of spades and eat snacks and make small talk. You might even think I'm not really into the game. But know, on the inside, all I am thinking about is winning. Whipping you, in fact. It came down to the last two and then. she lost. To be fair, the little punk was walking so close to the chair he might as well have already been sitting in it. But, you know, who noticed. Until Next Time,.

guffey love: March 2014
http://guffeylove.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Yeah, that's my boy. He's sleeping on a bed with no sheets because, let's be honest. I washed them two days ago and they are sitting in the dryer. Yeah, so what, he pulled every last wipe out of the box. And my very favorite, he has swapped his lovie snuggles for sweet smelling snuggles with the dirty diaper I changed right before bed. What a weird kid. By all accounts, my kids will be scarred for life. Or, maybe just maybe, they just won't take life so seriously. I love being ...

guffey love: October 2013
http://guffeylove.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 30, 2013. I've had two kids for a while. I can do shopping and groceries and errands with two. It feels like home. So, last week, when I ventured out with the double J's, I didn't think twice. I didn't think Jake would show is love for HomeGoods by going nose to the pavement as we were in the parking lot. Did not. want. to leave. I didn't think Josephine would poop. three times. On the changing mat, on her blanket and her cute "it's my first day in public". I can't even handle it.

guffey love: Part 2.
http://guffeylove.blogspot.com/2015/01/part-2.html
Thursday, January 8, 2015. So, bags in hand, we walked back through Target. Josephine had quieted down and was almost, if not, asleep at this point. Chamblee and Jacob held each of my hands, and, like tiny little soldiers, marched beside me as I went looking for battle. As I was looking down every aisle, I was thinking, praying, chanting, " Be kind. Be kind. Be kind. Of what might come out when I found him. Terrified. He had to be here. Where is he? Then I saw him round the corner. He saw us coming.

guffey love: November 2014
http://guffeylove.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 8, 2014. Well, hey there. I've had so many wonderful reasons to be missing. For one, I've been potty training Jake. Let's be real. That's not a reason, but it's a good segway. He's been amazing. Me? Not so much. Chamblee was easy, because when we were in public, I only had to take her in. Now, while Jake is in the throws of it all, I have to stuff three children into a nasty TJMaxx bathroom stall. It's a rough life. Jake said he needed to go to the bathroom. I can't. So excited about it.

Friday, November 25, 2011. This was actually typed yesterday. but I am just getting around to actually posting! The time from Thanksgiving to Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year (closely tied with the entire month of October/fall). I love the traditions, the decorations, the Christmas music as it begins to come on the radio, and most importantly, spending time with my wonderful family. It's been a whirlwind of the year and I am thankful for those have been by my side through the many changes.

Saturday, November 23, 2013. I went to wake Jacob up from his nap yesterday and thought he had been straight up kidnapped. He didn't appear to be in his bed, so I panicked. I yelled his name. Oh Hey there Houdini. Oh right. He just ripped his sheet (because he's the Hulk). And slid under it for some shut eye. Totally normal. He's my most favorite boy. His motto is #sorrynotsorry. When he's quiet, I know to be prepared. It means I am either about to laugh: a lot or cry: a little. Yeah, that's my lipstick.
