Touching the Canvas: ATC Fun
http://kmbennettart.blogspot.com/2015/07/atc-fun.html
Thoughts and images from an eccentric and somewhat reclusive artist. Sunday, July 12, 2015. My first experience with Artist Trading Cards or “ATCs” was in a drawing class in college. We students were interested in learning illustration and were fortunate to have a professor who knew the industry and was willing to teach us for two terms. (J.B. is a wonderful artist and you should see her work at Jessica Burke Artist. Our class was introduced to ATCs by each being assigned a couple of alphabet letters.

Touching the Canvas: The Angel of Compassion
http://kmbennettart.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-angel-of-compassion.html
Thoughts and images from an eccentric and somewhat reclusive artist. Friday, February 20, 2015. The Angel of Compassion. I found it difficult to write my thoughts and feelings about this painting. But that is OK with me because it was never really my intent. My plan from the beginning was to create a painting about 'Compassion' and let it stand as my statement. My art is my voice. It is how I speak to the world about how I feel and what I think. I published a blog post We are Here! My dear cousin Donna.

Touching the Canvas: Show and Tell: Hi Mom!
http://kmbennettart.blogspot.com/2015/07/show-and-tell-hi-mom.html
Thoughts and images from an eccentric and somewhat reclusive artist. Thursday, July 9, 2015. Show and Tell: Hi Mom! I meant to post this a couple of days ago on July 7. For my daughter's birthday. I was busy working and didn't get it put together in time. This piece reminds me of a fun time when my daughter Sarah and I were visiting Tucson, Arizona in 1985. We were on Mt. Lemmon. And she had fun scrambling around on the huge rock outcroppings along the path. It is special to me! View my complete profile.

Touching the Canvas: Lambada
http://kmbennettart.blogspot.com/2015/08/lambada.html
Thoughts and images from an eccentric and somewhat reclusive artist. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Trees like to dance! At least they do where I live. The slightest bit of wind and the fourteen oaks, along with walnut, apple, pear, cherry, plum, maple, and aspen trees sway along and sing with the most delightful voices among the leaves. So when I was working on ideas for International Print Exchange #7. By Green Door Studios. I came up with a dancing tree. Scan of pencil sketch. Stencil fluid - detail.

Touching the Canvas: Show and Tell: A Visit to the Aquarium
http://kmbennettart.blogspot.com/2015/08/show-and-tell-visit-to-aquarium.html
Thoughts and images from an eccentric and somewhat reclusive artist. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Show and Tell: A Visit to the Aquarium. For this Show and Tell post, I am showing a series of three prints instead of just one piece. In 2009, I visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium. In Newport with my dear friend Paula. I love that place! I loved learning to do the etching process. We used non-toxic materials and methods to etch the designs into copper plates. Intaglio. My first print was of a Lionfish. Was made ...
