This Is How We Do It. Rants and Ramblings from an Unschooling Mom. December 14, 2009. It has been way too long. It’s hard to believe that I haven’t written a post here since May. Incredible! I feel as though my life has just gone crazy in the last several months and I barely have time to think let alone come up with a post. But it’s important to maintain a record so I will try and fill in the blanks! Laquo; Blast from the past. I think I might actually cry. Evie, what a wonderful post! Iain and Ryan are ...

This Is How We Do It. Rants and Ramblings from an Unschooling Mom. February 7, 2009. That’s a wrap. Truth be told, I’m pretty terrible in those situations and don’t handle myself well. Sean had to tell me more than once to calm down so thank goodness he was here or else the kids could have been mentally scarred by the whole experience. Laquo; Our First Day With Unit Studies. Sounds great minus the crashing, head hitting, freaking out part. Glad that monkey is ok! On February 7, 2009. Hi there Evie,.

JOY | This Is How We Do It
https://eviecurley.wordpress.com/2009/01/13/joy
This Is How We Do It. Rants and Ramblings from an Unschooling Mom. January 13, 2009. We have had some joyful moments here lately. First, Ryan lost his first baby tooth and then had a lucrative visit from the tooth fairy. Then today, we headed down to one of the parks in our neighborhood and he overcame some fears while we were there. Take a look:. The look on his face just warms my heart. Then, even scarier than the 12ft slide was the (bum, bum, bum) See-Saw! Oh how he laughed, and laughed! We are so for...

Miles Away from Here: Perfection. Forget the New York Times.
http://milesawayfromhere.blogspot.com/2008/07/perfection-forget-new-york-times.html
Miles Away from Here. Wednesday, July 09, 2008. Perfection. Forget the New York Times. I would feel wrong, somehow, if I failed to post this link. My response to the New York Times article is that if you want to appeal to a wide audience, you should be talking to normal cooks in normal kitchens, not top bakers in uppity bakeries. Here is my response:. How To Achieve Cookie Perfection (for Mortals). Don't try to make the cookies healthy. They just won't be amazing. Splenda leads to cookie mediocrity.

Sunday, December 20, 2009. A note: this is more of a journal entry, rather than something that is well-organized or engaging. Mostly "this is where my head is right now" notes to myself. Something interesting has happened. The other day I visited Homeschooling Is Freedom. Scrolled down a bit, and because Pam Sarooshian was in it, I decided to watch a minute of the video that was made of the 2009 Homeschool Association of California Conference. Sometimes it just happens that way. Be able to write easily a...

Monday, March 29, 2010. Someone Who Can Kiss God. Come to my house late at night-. Do not be shy. Hafiz will be barefoot and dancing. In such a grand and generous mood! Come to my door at any hour,. Even if your eyes. Are frightened by my light. My heart and arms are open. And need no rest-. They will always welcome you. Come in, my dear,. From that harsh world. That has rained elements of stone. Upon your tender face. Should receive a toast from us. Bring all the bottles of wine you own. Why ever be shy?

Wednesday, August 18, 2010. There's just so much. I am reading Eat Pray Love. Since I'm (perhaps shamefully) so disconnected from The World's goings on (aside from the few blogs I read and a handful of FB friends), I had no idea that it had become a movie. Until a couple of nights ago when I logged into hulu to let Dr. Watson and Mr. Holmes charm me into sleep. It's hard to say whom I have the biggest crush upon, but -today- I suspect it is the good doctor. But nevermind that. And then the next.

Wednesday, January 06, 2010. Gratitude: all filled up. You'd think that since I write daily for OLM. That writing here wouldn't be difficult, wouldn't you? Especially because I'm a Mama that loves to get inside her own head for at least a little while every day. This morning (pre babes waking) I am grateful for the thoughts and ideas and happiness that are filling me up! So today is all about home and the things I've been pondering. For this life that we shall. Live and love and celebrate as if it is.

Adventures in Kamalot: The "not - so - perfect" moving day . . .
http://adventuresinkamalot.blogspot.com/2014/06/the-not-so-perfect-moving-day.html
The Life and Times of Kami and her Four "Boys! Saturday, June 28, 2014. The "not - so - perfect" moving day . . . I had said from the beginning that this was going to be our best move yet! Having moved to 5 different houses/apartments in our 4 1/2 years in Philly, we consider ourselves (annoyed) experts! This photo was actually taken 2 days after the IV and oral meds - this looks GOOD comparatively! As we drove out, we said goodbye to many of the places we have come to love. The two older boys were i...
