Hey guys, ive never really made soap before, but i can't wait to give it a go. any tips would be apreciated. also i was wondering if those silicone ice trays and muffin trays and bend would be suitable as a mold? Question about scent oils: soapmakers

Question about scent oils. This is probably a really stupid question, but. can I use essential oils or fragrance oils meant for those oil warmers to scent my soap? cheap olive oil: soapmakers

I started making soap a few months ago. I recently did my first craft show, and there was a lot of interest in my soap. I use about 60% olive in and make 2 lb batches of soap, and still go through the oil very quickly. I know wholesale clubs are a better way to go. soap for psoriasis?: soapmakers

Has anyone ever made soap for someone with psoriasis? I am not necessarily looking for something to treat it, but at least something that won't aggravate it further. Making liquid castile soap. I am interesting in some liquid castile soap. I have never made soap of any kind. I was thinking of using this recipe:. Http:/ www.ehow.com/how 4719163 liq. molds and re-doing: soapmakers

So, I tried my first batch of soap a year ago- I suspect I was not patient enough and it had not yet saponified when I poured it into the crappy 'mold' I'd slapped together from scraps in our basement. It obviously sucked and leaked = Also the soap is not in the least healthy looking, so I was planning on making a new mold eventually, and then remelt it and be more patient this time in waiting for it to saponify. Secondly, how would yous recommend making the mold? Do you have any useful tips or plans?

I could not figure out how to edit my previous post, but I just thought: If I were to try to use the pot I have set aside for making soap in as a mold, would that not work?
