Tammy and I completed the Houston Half Marathon on Sunday! The stiffness set in, and we moaned and groaned as we stood up from our now sorely missed chairs. Although our legs are still recovering two days later, we can honestly say that we thoroughly enjoyed the event, and will likely run another half marathon in the future. Something for us to share our photos and pieces of our lives with friends and family. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Tom and I had fun in the Houston 1/2 Marathon race this past Sunday. We beat our goal time and came in with 2 hrs 14 mins. 24 secs (around a 10 min 16 sec mile pace). Whoo. The weather was great and crowd cheered us along most of the way. The actual results are fluctuating. To everyone who donated to the American Cancer Society! We met our fundraising goal of $500. Labels: Houston Half Marathon.

Last weekend Tom and I went with Judi, Madison, Shelly, Jim and Kristy to the circus. Not sure if this was Kristy's first time to the circus but it was Madison's and my first 'real' circus. We had a great time. I can't decide if I had more fun watching the performers or Kristy and Madison. They both were super excited! Thanks Judi for inviting us! Race for the Cure.

Unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of the Rachel and Allin at the wedding. The wedding was beautiful, fun and had a big surprise from Shelly (see below for evidence). Aunt Ruth, Aunt Jean and Grandmother were absolutely georgous. And no. we did not plan to dress the same. ;o). Great minds think alike!

The lines in at Intercontinental Airport were short, the seat next me was not occupied, I slept well on the plane and the hotel had a room ready when I arrived.
