Tales of a Vibrant Life: September 2013
http://s-laughwithme.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Tales of a Vibrant Life. The Life and Times of Sarah Freeborn. Thursday, September 5, 2013. I rarely feel like an adult. It still feels like something I'm working towards. This begs the question- is adulthood a place you simply arrive at one day, or is it a process, or is it even a bit of a myth? Does anyone feel like an adult? Or do we all feel like we're faking it? Or because I've never lived more than 20 minutes from where I grew up? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kenosha, Wisconsin, United States. 8220;...

http://s-laughwithme.blogspot.com/2014/01/im-not-angry-person-but.html
Tales of a Vibrant Life. The Life and Times of Sarah Freeborn. Wednesday, January 29, 2014. I'm not an angry person, but. Lately I have been SO angry. And I don't like it. I used to be a very angry person. I poured rage into my coffee and greedily slurped it down every morning while smoking a Marb Red. Back then I didn't know why I was angry. I functioned in a state of rage for many years. And I liked it. It took me a long time to dig out of that anger. I am moving 45 minutes away. I am losing my job.

So as you may have noticed I haven’t had much time for posting lately. If you haven’t made the jump over to reading our adoption blog you might want to. We’ve had some very exciting news! But I wanted to update with some pictures from the last few months. They’ve been full of life and fun and soon to be all the more wild! Our friends John and Sara joined us for Thanksgiving with their son Malachi. Sara and I ran a 5k turkey trot. . . it was freezing outside! Joshua got a little tangled up in the lights!

Counting down the days. Do you remember making those great paper chains that you tear off a link each day as you count down to Christmas? I made one of those yesterday with some children I was babysitting. Well today, I think I’m going to make one for myself. Only I’m not counting down days until Christmas, but days until we travel to Ethiopia to pick up our kiddos! We have been given tentative travel dates of January 16-24th! Laquo; An Economic Lesson. I’m not sure who authored this, put it was forwarded to me and I thought it quite insightful given the upcoming changes about to take place in our nations tax policies. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:. The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. 8217; They reali...

Ode to a very neglected blog. . . Oh the shame of days, ah weeks, no wait. . . over a month gone by with no posts! For anyone who still occasionally stops by our blog rest assured the Taylors have in fact NOT dropped off the face of the planet. We have not ceased to exist or crawled under some hole. In fact life is steaming ahead at a pace I have not experienced in quite some time! Here’s some fun photos. All of the craziness can be seen on the flickr link, these are just some highlights. More to come so...
