I'll miss them, they were the only thing worth watching on our 5 channels of TV. I guess we're going to have to cough up the money for cable now, although maybe Super Monkey Ball 2 can fill the void for a little while. Posted by Julie @ 8:56 AM. Links to this post. As some one who grew up knowing every word to her father's Kingston Trio album and who's first cassette tape she ever bought with her own money was They Might Be Giant's "Flood". I simply had to link to this compilation of Folky Children's Science Songs. Of which is done by TMBG, "Why does the Sun Shine? Posted by Julie @ 9:36 AM. Comments: Post a Comment. So don't link through if you don't want to read them.). Some of the more interesting results are the inter generational reactions to certain words as well as the gender specific reactions to gender specific bad words. The other neat thing on Cog daily was this. Post with a link to this. Posted by Julie @ 9:14 AM. Thanks for writing this.

Vistablind: Soccer study
http://vistablind.blogspot.com/2007/04/soccer-study.html
Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. April 24, 2007. If a goal keeper in soccer stands just slightly to one side of the goal there is a good chance that the kicker will aim towards the other corner. Makes sense right? Posted by Julie @ 11:33 AM. This is an awesome study. I bet there is a sweet spot where the keeper can stand just far enough to one side that the increased liklihood of knowing where the ball is going outweighs the greater difficulty in getting over to that farther side. Vistablind: August 2005

Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. August 29, 2005. A good Scottish podcast. Posted by Julie @ 11:11 AM. Links to this post. August 23, 2005. Most summers my company has a nice little picnic or lunch of some sort to help the two offices socialize and get to know each other. Unfortunately, we almost never intermingle and instead spend most of the time talking to the people in our own office anyway. The whole thing is very fruitless (not sorry for the terrible pun). Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. February 27, 2005. So the big news that I haven't mentioned here yet is that a couple weekends ago I went out to denver to meet my nephew, who is the most adorablest human being to ever grace this diverse earth! Getting lost on the way from the airport to my sister's house. Lunch at Little Anita's (son of Vienna-based Anita's). Baby Bouncing and oogling. Homemade Beer (thanks Ted! Some beer with fellow Madison Alumni's who I'd never met before in my life. A little SciFi ...

Vistablind: Too much sun and no cable
http://vistablind.blogspot.com/2007/05/too-much-sun-and-no-cable.html
Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. May 01, 2007. Too much sun and no cable. Another full and pretty weekend. I took off Friday, our two year, and Brian and I did a few errands, I made a pie and we played some Wii. We went to a very nice sushi restaurant in Vienna which re-energized our discussion of how we really need a nice little sake set, there's nothing like hot sake, to take the chill off a nice night out. Brian asked Zimm if Martha, who is an excellent potter, potterer, pottist? The boat of course i...

Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. March 30, 2005. Those poor little bunnies laying all those big eggs. Easter was great, Na and I colored easter eggs and took them over to my parents house for traditional ham, scalloped potatoes, asparagus and deviled eggs. Yum! Sidenote: I was sad today when one of my coworkers informed me that they aren't really deviled eggs unless you put hot pepper or hot sauce in them. Why was I sad? Happy Belated Easter to you all!
