http://emilyartsjournal.blogspot.com/2010_01_11_archive.html
Monday, January 11, 2010. No complaints about your methods here, Mr. Holmes. Far-fetched and fascinating simultaneously. And then there is Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams), the femme fatale who is too beautiful to be a cold-blooded criminal and menacing temptress, but somehow you can’t help but fall in love just like Holmes has. Or has he? No sense in worrying, there is sure to be a sequel starring Holmes’s archenemy and criminal mastermind, Professor Moriarity. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Kael said she enjoyed writing reviews of bad movies that were universally praised and drew in globs of money. She wanted to tell people they were being scammed. Any critic wants his or her voice to be heard, but Kael always thought about her audience. And that’s the cardinal role of all critics. Kael admitted in Francis Davis’s book Afterglow.
