I only knit the one item for Christmas gifting this year; this wee pair of mittens. They are so adorable though, I may have to knit an entire battalion of them for next festive season. Battalion? Not only nutty about knitting. Saturday, December 04, 2010. I have always been a tree nut; a tree climbing, tree hugging tree nut! Although a lot of our block is tea tree bush and other woodsy wilderness there are still some corkers amongst our acres - big delicious river red gums, amazing gnarled banksias and some of the most amazing formations I have ever seen. Two views of the same incredible tree mass by a hook in the river. You can see some of the flotsam in the branches from very high waters.

Saturday, February 28, 2015. FO: Revontuli (Northern Lights). A very popular free pattern on Ravelry, this shows off beautifully yarns with very long color repeats, like Zauberball. I have few items in neutral colors so a few years ago I picked up this cream to dark brown lovely. The yardage wasn't quite enough for what the pattern called for, although others have opted for the same yarn choice and had some success. I knew it would be close! Very pleased with my new neutral accessory.

Monday, November 10, 2008. I'm back. after a loooooooong break :). Back to knitting and baking . fingers crossed i will continue to update this blog regularly. My first attempt at a chiffon cake. It was such blissful fibre to work with! I spun it quite finely (for me anyway! And have since plied it up. Monday, July 29, 2013. I have a new post. Up on the Babywearing Around Tulsa. We had a great time with a tester wrap that travelled through last week. In knitting news I attended Fiber Christmas in July. At the Creek County Fair Grounds this weekend. I got to see many of my fiber friends and even an old friend from high school. It was great to get to hang out and even knit a while. I busted out an Acorn Head in a squishy cream colored wool blend. I'll need to get a picture up soon! Much to do, gotta go!

The big one that I plan to keep at our house was delivered to the shipping/receiving area @ work instead of my building (darn UPS), so still haven't seen that one, but the little ones I got just fine.
