Knitasnoopy: 2/12/12 - 2/19/12
http://knitasnoopy.blogspot.com/2012_02_12_archive.html
Knitasnoopy - Part-time knitter, full-time slacker. Sunday, February 12, 2012. Current WIPs and FO. Couple of weeks ago, was at a standstill on the Top Down Swing Sweater until I could get an opinion from Rebecca about the fit of the sweater. As you can see, it was too big, would benefit from a short row in the back, and ruffles on the bottom (what's up with that? Will take out to first increase, add a short row on the back, and knit straight down. Will see how that turns out. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Knitasnoopy - Part-time knitter, full-time slacker. Sunday, August 5, 2012. Work is interrupting my knitting, sigh. Remember my last post how I wanted to do a couple of posts before the Olympics started? For my Olympic warm up, thought I'd work on the right hand fingerless mitt (for the second time). At first, I believed the mitt had been stretched out when different people tried it on. But after counting the ribbing at the top, realized yup too many stitches were cast on. Lets just say I learned a lot t...
Knitasnoopy: Oops missed a week...
http://knitasnoopy.blogspot.com/2013/01/last-weekend-went-to-chicago-with-my.html
Knitasnoopy - Part-time knitter, full-time slacker. Monday, January 21, 2013. Oops missed a week. Last weekend went to Chicago with my Mom and Walker and James (2/3 of "The Boys") to see the Charlie Brown and the Great Exhibit. Thanks Laurel for pointing this out to me! Next phone needs a flash with the camera. There was a lovely hat in the gift shop that my Mom modeled. After the Museum, we meet up with the rest of our group, who went to the Lego store, for lunch at Webber Grill. After the container sto...

Knitasnoopy - Part-time knitter, full-time slacker. Sunday, February 26, 2012. Me scrambling around for a project to take with resulted in 30 minutes of trying to pull things together for a project that I ended up not liking (the yarn and pattern were incompatible). I vowed never again would I be stuck without a project when I need to, to coin a phrase from Gigi of The Knitmore Girls,"Run screaming out of the house" . Oops had to restart, things got a little twisted. Turn a Square Hat (Thursday). All in ...
Knitasnoopy: Pictorial Catch Up
http://knitasnoopy.blogspot.com/2012/07/pictorial-catch-up.html
Knitasnoopy - Part-time knitter, full-time slacker. Sunday, July 15, 2012. Well its been quite a while since my last post. To catch you up on my knitting, here are a few pictures. Had one mitt done for erm, hum a few years. These are nice but not what I was aiming for, below slippers. Allow for a variety of different sized feet to wear them. Still have to knit I-cord (right slipper) and sew on button to left. Hopefully they will stay together. Yarn my brother bought for me to make a hat for him. And here...

Spiral shawl » DesigKnit

Knitting and Fiber Design. Sun 18 Mar 2012. When I realized that the striped shawl sweater. Was in fact going to be a sweater and not a shawl, it freed me up to finish the spiral shawl that has been languishing on the needles for ages. The idea for this pattern came from the spirals of a seashell, which made me wonder if adding successive layers of increases would lead to a spiral that eventually wrapped around. Because of the flared shaping, the shawl front looks almost ruffled when worn open. 6 Respons...

November 24, 2014. Ms stocking is all done. I think she will be happy with it. As requested, it is enormous. Pack of cards included for scale. I used duplicate stitch for her name. To prevent the Christmas loot from stretching it out of shape, I used some red jersey fabric to make a lining and then I hand-sewed around the top to hold it in place. Now L wants her stocking lined as well, which wont be too hard. At least she doesnt want me to start from scratch! Posted at 08:12 PM. November 15, 2014.

Knitasnoopy - Part-time knitter, full-time slacker. Monday, January 21, 2013. A little library enhancement. Past couple of weeks, I've been reading more Ravelry posts which turns out it can be dangerous to the size of one's library. So far, I have purchased Cookie A's book Knit. Sock. Love. Pattern for The Princess Bride KAL (that's knit along for you muggles), and some great deals at Half-Price Books. Socks a la Carte 2: Toes Up! Toes up are hands down my favorite way of doing sock, no Kitchner stitch!

Saturday, June 27, 2009. Little Girl's Boucle Poncho. I was bored tonight and searched around for something to knit with 2 balls of Baby Boucle yarn. I found this pattern for a little girl's poncho on the Bernat.com website. I knit the size 2-4. I think there's actually enough yarn to make a baby sized one now. Here's a link to the pattern:. Http:/ www.bernat.com/pattern.php? I'm not a big fan of knitting with Boucle yarn but this turned out really cute I think. Now. to find someone to give it to. Here's...
