KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive: August 2011

http://knitcave.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive. The ramblings of a slightly obsessed knitter, as she stumbles through her daily life shedding yarn and chaos in her wake. Wednesday, 31 August 2011. This weekend I had the most amazing time with a whole load of people, making new friends and learning newness. I also discovered I am better at spinning than I thought although I occassionally overspun my yarns. I was truely excited when I discovered the owner of FeltstudioUK. Next we spun a slub yarn. Oh, how I stru...

KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive: Happy Solstice

http://knitcave.blogspot.com/2014/12/happy-solstice.html

KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive. The ramblings of a slightly obsessed knitter, as she stumbles through her daily life shedding yarn and chaos in her wake. Monday, 22 December 2014. Where has this year gone? Today was the Winter Solstice and I took the opportunity to meet my friends and celebrate at Stonehenge. To ensure I arrived on time I got up at 4.30 and was on the road just after 5am. Most people chose to stand amongst the stones to listen to the Druid ritual. It became light enough to spin.

KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive. The ramblings of a slightly obsessed knitter, as she stumbles through her daily life shedding yarn and chaos in her wake. Tuesday, 11 October 2011. How to spell Llama. This is so cute. A font. Made of llamas galavanting on the page. I too can now have a herd of Llama's. Wednesday, 5 October 2011. Wattle's all that then! This beauty is made from Wattle (known as the acacia tree) and has some really cool and funky markings. Made by Spanish Peacock, I feel a very lu...

KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive. The ramblings of a slightly obsessed knitter, as she stumbles through her daily life shedding yarn and chaos in her wake. Saturday, 27 December 2014. A Step Back in Time. As I posted previously I celebrated the Solstice at Stonehenge. It only seemed fitting to spend a bit of time visiting some of the sites of my ancestors. First up was Woodhenge. As seen from the road, just outside the carpark. The Hill is huge and sits imposingly in its landscape. There is still so ...

KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive. The ramblings of a slightly obsessed knitter, as she stumbles through her daily life shedding yarn and chaos in her wake. Thursday, 31 July 2014. Last Sunday, in glorious sunshine I was lucky to be able to participate in the Wyle Valley 1914. The Great War Society. Were amazing, Sunday was much cooler than Saturday and had a lovely breeze, they must have been much more comfortable in their woollen uniforms. Tommy looked very smart. Hard tack and basic rations came do...

A journey of knitting, spinning, frustration, and socks. Lots of socks. Thursday, 21 June 2012. I've had a very beautiful week so far! On Tuesday I met up with a long-time internet friend Robert and we went for a walk along the river in Bradford-On-Avon. KnitCave - Ramblings of an Obsessive. The ramblings of a slightly obsessed knitter, as she stumbles through her daily life shedding yarn and chaos in her wake. Wednesday, 7 January 2015. To Catch a Thread. I have started stitching again. I am currently working on. I am also working on this old WIP. So recently I have been snipping threads and putting them on the arm of the chair.
