Through the Back Loop. Welcome to Through the Back Loop - a sporadically updated, often neglected, blog about knitting, knitting and more knitting. Come on in! Monday, January 5, 2009. Where does the time go? I swear, last time I looked, Christmas was on the horizon, holiday parties were starting to pop up and I was in the midst of gift knitting. I hope everyone had a good holiday with lots of tasty eats, family and friends. And knitting, lots of knitting. What a great book. I am a collector of singl...

Through the Back Loop. Welcome to Through the Back Loop - a sporadically updated, often neglected, blog about knitting, knitting and more knitting. Come on in! Thursday, February 12, 2009. Okay, so this "post more often" thing hasn't exactly panned out lately. But, here I am, with a new project to tell you about (and a few more waiting for their turn). Gazing out at me from the kitchen bulletin board, I set out to search for a new project. Then I found it, the Owl sweater. Perfect. And I enjoyed it. ...

Through the Back Loop. Welcome to Through the Back Loop - a sporadically updated, often neglected, blog about knitting, knitting and more knitting. Come on in! Thursday, June 12, 2008. Well, colour me excited. I was flipping through The Coast. Today, you know, getting all caught up on things about town, cultural and otherwise, when I came across The Dope Show. I saw the caption. And whatnot. I clapped my hands like a small child and said to myself, "I'm famous! This is the completed pair of Hedgerow socks.

Dimanche 18 novembre 2007. When I have a lot of things to do, I go into panic mode trying to decide which to do first. This usually ends with me doing none of the things I have to do and starting something I want to do instead. Thus, I have begun a Noro stripped scarf. I noticed this pattern on several blogs thanks to my good friend and knitting partner in crime Miss B. Most of the patterns I saw were made with Noro silk Garden. I decided to use Kureyon. This is bad. This is very bad. But so good. Inscri...

Samedi 12 janvier 2008. Much has happened in the past little while. My father passed away and I discovered that knitting is good therapy. I kept the scarf that I had made him for christmas and even though he never got the chance to see it, I will wear it and think of him because I'm sure it would have made him happy. One thing I really missed while I was away was the keeper of my yarn. I also knit myself a bandana hat. I bought this fleece artist. Kit at Lk Yarns a while back. I liked the look of the...

Dimanche 20 janvier 2008. No, these are not hot pants. In an attempt to distract myself by the sweater fever I've been having in the past couple of weeks, I started knitting a bag. I've never knit a bag before because knit bags make me kind of nervous with all their holes and stuff. But then I found a free pattern on the Interweave. Website and I was sold. I decided to make this out of Cascade 220. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Samedi 12 janvier 2008. She is good at keeping my projects an...

Just this, because I couldn’t help myself:. How's it sit? Purrrty cunning, don't you think? Posted September 30, 2011 by knitibranch. Remember how I did a Regretsy yarnbomb on the Jim Boggio statue and got all kinds of love from April for it and she posted that I was going to make a hat out of the “whimsicle fuckery” piece that I’d made? OK, maybe you don’t, but I sure do! So I ended up making this, which I finished today, and which is modeled by my lovely and talented friend Heather:. Is planning a majo...

Armed with Needles in an Uncertain World. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Another ending, another beginning. December 31, 2013. It’s the end of the year. How did that happen?
