ptbl (purl through the back loop) | Knitting Lefty Blog
https://knitlefty.wordpress.com/2009/09/06/ptbl-purl-through-the-back-loop
Just another WordPress.com weblog. Ptbl (purl through the back loop). September 6, 2009 in Stitches. Knitting; left hand knitting. Bring yarn to the front (as you do with purling). Insert the left needle into the stitch behind the loop, throw the yarn over from the front and purl the stitch. Both ptbl and ktbl can be used for “twisting” a stitch at the beginning of a set. Ptbl (purl through the back loop). Ktbl (knit through the back loop). Back to the basics – taking a class. Yeah, I steeked it.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. Ktbl (knit through the back loop). September 6, 2009 in Stitches. Knitting; left hand knitting. Take left needle (remember, this is for those of us whose yarn holding hand is on the right, working needle on the left) and insert it into the middle of the stitch, from the front through the back. Then knit the stitch. This will give the stitch a twisted effect. Ptbl (purl through the back loop). Ktbl (knit through the back loop). Back to the basics – taking a class.

My musings about Human Computer Interaction. Archive for November, 2009. Jakob Nielson’s take on intuition. Posted by Jenny in Uncategorized. I subscribe to Jakob Nielson’s Alertbox. Today’s email contained an ‘extra’ article that I found very interesting. While all of his Alertbox articles are online and can be found at his website, the twice-monthly email usually contains some other information that is not included in the Alertbox article. One of my biggest pet peeves is cell phone use while driving.

My musings about Human Computer Interaction. Laquo; Follow-up to “Women are damned if they do, damned if they don’t”. Stand up and Speak Out! Posted July 6, 2009 by Jenny in Rant. I recently wrote about the display board outside our office. On which I post inspirational UX and usability quotes. Shortly after I published that post, I discovered that someone had scrawled “waste of time” and “waste of money” on some of the peices of paper I had posted on the board. And, just today, usability guru Jakob Niel...

My musings about Human Computer Interaction. Archive for July, 2009. Stand up and Speak Out! Posted by Jenny in Gender and Computerization. I’m constantly scouring the ‘net for UX resources. One of the tools I use is Twitter. Several UX practitioners tweet daily with links to UX-related articles, studies, and even humor. I was appalled that someone tweeting in a professional manner would promote the sexual objectification of women. Was shocking to me. NOTE: I do not believe that all white males who work ...
