I wrote this reflection during a time of meditation on the passage from Mark 5:24-35, the woman who touches Jesus’ garments and is healed. I hear that he is there,. As the sun rises in the sky. My heart lifts towards the thought. I must see him. I must feel his presence. That is all that I need. I shall not wait.

Sometimes what I try to say and what I mean to say, are only the beginnings of what I want to say. Painting the musings of my heart with words. January 23, 2014. July 21, 2015. On Christmas Day I departed for India to meet friends, have a fantastic holiday and rest. Sometimes what I try to say and what I mean to say, are only the beginnings of what I want to say. Painting the musings of my heart with words. June 29, 2013. August 4, 2015. Last week at work, during a usually gentle, giggle filled, occasionally vulnerable staff breakfast, we heard some tragic news. I had an operation recently, on only one part of my body, but it caused great pain, so much so that the rest of my body, thou...

Sometimes what I try to say and what I mean to say, are only the beginnings of what I want to say. Painting the musings of my heart with words. July 1, 2015. Habits and Shoe Laces. John Ortberg says, ‘Habits eat willpower for breakfast’. Recently I’ve had a couple of issues, namely, one on each shoe. My laces continually come undone, and I am continually re-tying them. If you parallel that to the times I’ve remained doing something, pursuing something, or desperately clinging onto something that I ...

Sometimes what I try to say and what I mean to say, are only the beginnings of what I want to say. Painting the musings of my heart with words. July 20, 2015. Last week, my family said goodbye to my Grandfather. He had passed away three weeks earlier, and we had waited so that his brother, daughter and my sister could be with us at the funeral.
