Knit of Awesome: February 2015
http://knitofawesome.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2015. Just got back from an amazing experience. There was a train ride and cows and elephants and forts and palaces and jeep rides in the dessert and riding camels and a truly incredible wedding. More pictures to come, but for now I'll leave you with this picture of me geeking out in a spice shop. In India. Wow. Links to this post. Friday, February 6, 2015. To get stitches. But she is on the mend, and look and her pretty purple foot with the pink heart! Links to this post.

Knit of Awesome: July 2015
http://knitofawesome.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 28, 2015. What an incredible weekend. These two peaks were so beautiful and also terrifying. I'm exhausted and exhilarated. We had an amazing team of people without which I wouldn't have summited (see north bells, the chimney). We were careful but we were also lucky, and the reward was astounding. Four more peaks remain on our list! Links to this post. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. The mountain and the bear. 6 more to go! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
Knit of Awesome: March 2015
http://knitofawesome.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 20, 2015. We bought a motorcycle. Maybe I'm being naïve, but we are not reckless people. We have calculated our level of crazy, and found it acceptable. Links to this post. Wednesday, March 11, 2015. The Locke in RMNP. Fantastic hike and a beautiful day. Things we have learned: summer trail maps in the winter = useless, frozen waterfalls coveted in snow look like hills, and it's difficult to jump in snowshoes. Good times had by all. A Case of the Twenty-Somethings: take those knits right off my hands
http://knitwitted.blogspot.com/2008/11/blog-post_21.html
A Case of the Twenty-Somethings. Art and design in the post grad world. Friday, November 21, 2008. Take those knits right off my hands. Here's a glimpse at the latest projects to leave the needles! The first is a black hat that was a blast to knit. Pure fun. This one deserves packing away for a ski weekend in Tahoe. I'd dip those long ear flaps straight into my hot chocolate, for sure, but that doesn't mean it isn't perfect for a weekend getaway in the snow. Next up: stripey hats and slouchy neckwarmers.

Saturday, May 12, 2007. Close-up of the stripeyness:. Close up of fringe:. It turned out wonderfully! I absolutely love it! And I'm sooooo glad it's off my poor needles. I forgot to take a picture of those, but I will post one soon.they are anything but straight needles anymore. So, the scarf turned out to be somewhere between ten and eleven feet long, which is awesome! And the yarn is stretchy and fun. It's a little too warm now to be wearing any kind of scarf, but it'll be perfect for autumn. I will be...

hedoknitstic: Matching Caps
http://hedoknitstic.blogspot.com/2007/12/matching-caps.html
Monday, December 10, 2007. As you may recognize, these hats are the Newsboy-style Caps from S&B Nation. I've made three of these in the past, and only heard positive reviews. They are pretty fast to knit and can be made with only 6oz of yarn. Also, they're pretty funky and cool and definitely not boring. They look way different laying on the table than they do when they are actually being worn, so here are some lovely, slightly blurry, pictures of how they really look:. Feels good to finish projects!

hedoknitstic: Lover's Mitten
http://hedoknitstic.blogspot.com/2007/12/lovers-mitten.html
Monday, December 10, 2007. Sorry in advance for the poor quality of some of these pictures, but yeah, no natural light. Here is a normal mitten:. Here is a Lover's Mitten. Kinda like conjoined mitten twins. The point is that you can hold hands with someone inside the mitten and your hands won't get cold. I made a few changes to the Lover's Mitten pattern in the link above, but mostly just for sizing. And I made a matching set of mittens, so the lovebirds can keep their outside hands warm as well.

Monday, March 5, 2007. I'm happy to report that the washing machine did NOT eat my little sister's sweater! Nothing changed, except it smelled a little better. And now it's on its way, bundled up in a pretty little package. And because no post is really complete without a picture, here is the first sock I ever made, modeled by its recipient, my other little sister:. Sunday, March 4, 2007. On pins and needles. It was fun and quick and the grafting seam is perfectly disguised. And here's the next one:.
